Not My Cup of Tea
when cutting the cheese
it was more then just brie
but you can't say
that they exactly
broke the mold

it was blue
hard to say
crumbly
but it
was
one
of
a

kind

the kind i can't
find a pairing
of wines so
i suppose
it's one of
those that
truly does
break the

mold...

A Little Happiness
Baby now-a-days you make me so depress
I want to borrow a little happiness!

It’s very hard to make you passionate
It seems I don’t know how to change my fate!

Now I think you are not my cup of tea
You are like a lost treasure in deep sea!

As if I am in love with the Satan
Who doesn’t know how to love a human!...

My holiday is a break
Away from the norm
To get a chance to relax
Or to break from life’s storm

It can be to any country
Whether by air, land or sea
To take myself away
Where no one else can be

This may be not everybody’s cup of tea
But we are not all the same
So what’s not suitable to one
Maybe to another is their game

South African Snake Catchers
Catching snakes has to be done
When they are in the city each one
There is a couple of tattooed people
On television in South Africa showing their mettle

Black mambas, Cobras, Spitting Cobras each done
Would have the potential to kill when their biting is done
Not my cup of tea to do this sort of thing
With nerves of steel that they do bring.

Yes, Me
I think she is treated as more special.
She is a fellow female employee.
My Jealousy, I do not want to see.
An unbecoming feeling;
I hope, it is not revealing.
Next, I start to feel resentment.
Another emotion causing lack of contentment.
Add my belief that that jealousy is not my cup of tea.
What does all this say about me?
From one problem, potentially two or three!...

Heaven Is Not For Me
Heaven is not for me
This world is all I wish to see
Golden streets and crystal oceans
Are not my cup of tea
To be quite honest
A cup of tea is my cup of tea
And though I'll do whatever God asks of me
I just pray that when I die he lets me be
To live forever is way too much
A lifetime here is good enough
I'm only six and twenty
Yet this world still has plenty
Of wonders for me to see
Hell...
Heaven is not for me...

Depression
The wave of sadness washing over me,
Trying to solve this is not my cup of tea.
To hold in all this turbulent emotions,
I am in the need of some advocations.

Why does everything has to be so hard?
Can't I just let my feelings discard.
No one would be able to attune,
As it is invisible to others almost immune.

Not able to withstand,
Just in the need of a helping hand.
Or maybe I am just imagining all this,
But that false hope, is just a wish....

Little Spider
Little spider climbing the tree
so tiny and oh so care free.

Searching for a yummy treat,
so hungry, that you must eat.

Outdoors is your home for now,
fall is here, soon you will come in for chow.

Crawling on us at night,
thinking of it, is such a fright.

Little spider go back to your tree,
I ask you, and I make a plea.

Knowing that is not to be,
cold weather, is not your cup of tea.

So little spider come on in,
I will just go sleep in the den.

What Is It About Me
What is it about me?
That appeals to others,
Gives them hope,
And makes them want to help me succeed.

I know my tongue can be harsh sometimes,
My recall of names is shocking,
Although I seldom forget phone numbers.

I know when good food can be found,
I am seldom last in line,
And my sense of humour ,
Is not everybody's cup of tea,
And I am sure I try the patience of even the saints.

Yet despite these things,
Luck still comes my way,
How does one figure something like that?...

Road Rage
Do I threaten your aggression
By keeping calm and cool?
The more you flail your arms about
The more you play the fool!
I realize that self restraint
Is not your cup of tea
But it’s not fair that you don’t care -
Don’t take that out on me!
You seem to be a person
Who has to have their say
And selfishness becomes the norm
When things don’t go your way
Well here’s a bit of news for you
You’re not the only one
It’s give and take -
(For heaven's sake
Don’t ever get a gun!)...
