Zen Mode

an earthy agenda intrudes
compelling us to act and engage
mindful not to scar face of space
we nonchalantly turn the page

The One Who Survives

he waits nonchalantly drumming his long fingers impatiently......he waits in vain plane down

Zen Mode

mind-body urge arises
we look at it
nonchalantly

indulging is stupor
negating is doing
doing neither, we flow

Sweets For the Sweet

i watch from behind the glass,
think i'd love to kiss and nibble you
and you just stare back nonchalantly teasing me

Health Tip

If you can't afford a doctor, go to an airport.
You'll get a free x-ray and breast exam for sure,
and if you mention Al Qaeda nonchalantly,
you'll get yourself a free colonoscopy.

What We Know

What we know,
Have no hold
Although it seems..
Truth be told

Weary souls
Emotions grow

Knowledge gained
Nonchalantly tamed
Overjoyed thoughts deploy
Withering sway in dismay..

Impiety

I am a certian type of variety..
Steadfast conceptualized impiety..
Aware of nonchalantly..
Best not to a malady.
Shallow is the roots of ryegrass.
Slow is the fermented yeast mash.

Disease Free

"I can't raise your hopes," the doctor told me.
"I don't think I can save you in all honesty."
I then replied to her rather nonchalantly,
"No worries doc. Either way I'll be free from this disease."

Foolish Little Girl

Oh; foolish little girl—without thought;
Appearing-dreaming-pretending—
Dream; tomorrow never comes...
Pretend; nonchalantly...
Loves—only you and-
Love; only him—
Start thinking—
Stand-Run-
NOW!

Smithereen Memories

The red mist descends beyond horizon,
footprints of your visit yesterday linger on.
Nonchalantly the haze still fills up my senses,
reminiscence of your lyric still ornate my soul.

A Peculiar Sea

The polystyrene waves whip the sea of earth on

a Spring tide as the crows nonchalantly look on

patiently waiting for the styrene spray to uncover

the fishes of the dusty dry earth to feed their young.

Dancing the Blues

now sunless days on automatic pilot
skies from greys to blues to violet
feigning composure while on edge
he dances nonchalantly on a ledge

Ironic

Interesting to realize…
Resolution of the matter of suicide
  Only requires a few pills,
   Nonchalantly handed out by
Indiscriminate Doctors, treating me for depression
     Completely oblivious of my intentions

But I did tell them…

Russet Leaves Falling

russet leaves falling
                                         nonchalantly to the ground...
                                                naked limbs shiver

Losers' Lament

Swallowing hard the slain,
Gritting teeth like  gnats;
Toss your card nonchalantly and move.
Even if your ears ring like bells;
Don’t get the hernia over it,
Frothing wont smoothen the slit.
The bait has died out;
For neon thighs come with a jaunty cough.

Kitten Paws Pause

Listen to poem:
Kitten pauses over fishbowl because,
it can't stand wetting its dry and clean paws.
So the goldfish are safe, free from the jaws.
And don't they know it, as they flap applause,
When they nonchalantly swim with no cause
For fear of cat, which obeys nature's laws.

The Masses

The brainwashed masses,
Wearing rose-colored glasses,
And nonchalantly flashing passes,
Never realizing the hourglasses
Are running out of time.

Miasmic shadows
And dystopian blows
Are working to transpose
The masses' crystal rose
Into a thick unending slime.

Too Late

The hard fact about living
is how easily we place little value
to those precious, little moments
making up fragments of our lives,
nonchalantly dismissing them...
only to look back much later
with foolish longing and regret
long after they are gone.

Too late!

The Prairies Flush

Listen to poem:
The Prairies Flush
David J Walker

The colors flowed from his own brush
The prairie flush in scented and sacred hues
The earth tones framed in the deepest blues
Of an unrelenting evening sky
Always changing
	Nonchalantly rearranging
Always in the eye
of the artist

Killing Time

what are you
a butcher
an assassin
are you kidding me

you nonchalantly
say you’re
just killing time

do you not see
it’s criminal
you’ll never come across
anything more valuable
than the precious
gift of time

Raucous Rude Gallahs

Listen to poem:
all gathered in flocks
with raucous loud squawks
poised pink-grey Gallahs leap up
smashing the dawn hush
in a scramble rush
to broadcast their rude heads-up

they swoop and chatter
all sundry scatter
as nonchalantly engrossed
uncaring rabble
disturbs the babble
of self-righteous flock utmost

Lifting of the Veil

As stillness gradually settles down
A tumbler within trips noiselessly
Fulcrum in void of formlessness
Observes mind-body nonchalantly

The fabric of space our presence
Infusing in identity stillness & silence
Emptiness of form vibrant with bliss
Imbibing & reflecting divine fragrance

Autumn Is Gone

Aromatically enticing
Under a crisp, gray sky
Tightening my breath
Unyielding cold air rushed by
Melodically the birds
Nonchalantly they head
South they fly

Impatient is the cold
Sneaky and quite bold

Geometrically the flakes shine
Obviously prematurely
No sooner we have snow this time so damn

Stranglehold

Surreptitiously its
Tendrils caress,
Reaching out gently,
Ardently intertwining
Nonchalantly
Gaining ground.
Little by little, it will
Eclipse and smother
Heinously,
Overwhelmingly pernicious if
Left to become
Deep-rooted.
