Crayon's

Creative mind and body,
Rummaging through time and space,
Aghast at the very thought,
Yonder space,
Only monochrome colour's,
No nonsense approach,
Singing as you sketch.

Premium Member Cat At Reece Fair After Hours

After hours, Maud, ginger cat,
Goes through O in fence:
No nonsense.

Goes to roundabout,
And sits there on still car.
Becomes calm...

Tail around,
She does not study her environment.
She is like a totem as she waits for silver dawn.

Running at the right rhythm
no nonsense needing attention;
Doing a dance though the day
ferociously fast It's flying!
Built to be a busy bee,
waking wanting to be working;
Perfectly productive
taking advantage of the time;
Running at the right rhythm
Coveting each click of the clock

A Kiss of Sunshine

Grand daughter
Such a sweetheart
Young and smart
Only 7 years old
Unique in every way
Never underestimate your Smile
Sure to let your heart be true
Hand in hand , we do stand
In your life, I do what I can
No nonsense girl, you stole my heart
Every day you be safe, this I pray
A Kiss of Sunshine in my life

Premium Member The Dandelion

It’s a weed in name only
Spikey green leaves, a yellow face
Hearty with a no-nonsense enthusiasm
Growing with total abandon
With no regard for rules
In gardens, lawns, in tiny cracks
At last forming a perfect ball of silver threads
Pouf! The seeds blown by the wind
Or by little ones with childish delight
The dandelion….

Premium Member For a Wish

I don’t know
Where the river flows
As I contemplate its existence
Down river I will go
Hopefully slow
So I can make no nonsense
To the home
Of a gnome
Who gives out wishes
One which is mine, oh ho
No confusion will show
I want to be in his presence
|
|
The gnome saw me
And said eventually
My wish I shall see
She will see me truly
And exclusively

Nurture a bold feel,
Offer to align.
Notice plain free will,
Observe the clear signs;
Note how thoughts emerge,
Sense a steady stream;
Engage a fond urge,
Never pawn a dream.
Suspend the draft sought,
Explore the right stuff.
Play against the odds,
Live bold and enough;
Adjust to the quest,
No nonsense works best.

I refuse to languish in obscurity
hiding parts of my personality.
As a target I stood.

Verity will always light up the dark.
A white lightning rod, an electric spark
as what’s solid is viewed.

I am the woman with oneiric eyes,
the one who’s focus is the far off prize.
No nonsense attitude.

Shrinking yourself back into a bubble,
sounds to me like a whole lot of trouble.
Small is never selfhood.

Premium Member No Nonsense

I read The Raven in its entirety,
I must admit it's kind of creepy.

If some big ol' bird with devil eyes
Came tap tap tapping to my sitting room,
I'd be leave leave leaving for the refuge
Of my mother's house.

Mother's house is a house of safety,
And if that bird dared to follow
It would bow and say "Milady,"
And nevermore forget it's place~
'Cause Mom don't brook no nonsense
From neither man nor beast!

Premium Member A Gaunt Face

A gaunt face
       wizened by time,
           portrays
              a no-nonsense
                 man of convictions,
                   poor, yet proud
                    of his
                    heritage.
                    And yet,
                   beneath that
                 roughshod look
              I glimpse a kind heart
           and soul, suggesting he’s
      more
human than he seems.

When Everything Is quiet

When Everything Is Quiet
No sound
No drama
No nonsense
Submerge in water
No anger
No chaos
Just solitude
Keep life simple
Turn off the news
In one ear and out the other
I like peace and quiet
A man of very few words
Disconnected from society
Turn off the noise
No electronics
No conflict
Confined
Darkness is mine
Creative writings
When everything is quiet
When writing poetry, I’m alive.

Age Of Reason

Age Of Reason
Building characteristics
With no nonsense
Knowing right from wrong
Growing into your own
Become vigorous
Age of reason
A change to find your own way
Write your own journey
Lead by example
Find hidden talents
Shine through the stars
Don’t follow the corrupt world
Just down to earth
Slow to anger
Become your own man
Take a stand for what you believe in
Strive to improve
Age of reason

Inadequate Father

Father whose lone son
He Leaves in Harsh Sun,
Son moving clockwise
Soon turns the street wise

Dad whose daughter's skin
He pricks with old pin.
And her secure wall
Blasts for a strange fall!

A dad shan't his head
Clean of what it'd read!
That which he's obtained
Needs he well retained,
Common sense maintained,
No nonsense contained...

Inadequate father
Still can go much farther;
It should be smiles rather,
As he climbs his ladder;

Classics Buff

Someone is probably doing an aria,
that labored shrill fit for the opera.

Another soul croons a lilting lullaby,
oohs and aahs rising up to the sky.

Undoubtedly that's a loud trombone,
solidly played, a no-nonsense boom.

Surely I hear a lone trumpet blowing,
pfffttt, that unmistakable errie sound.

A lush symphony of timeless sounds
enlivening my mid-morning rounds.

A poor cleaner-turned-classics buff,
making a living in a public restroom!
