He was the kindest man, with newfangled, unusual ways of doing things.
He had a good heart, but was avoided by the townies.
Died at thirty-eight, probably from a sense of shame
As his business died first because no one would venture in.
Sad for the few of us who got to know him, his employees.
Marvelous and newfangled
~ purses and cars
Original or trendsetting
~ restaurants and bars
Different and fresh
~ opinions and ideas
Elegant or stylish
~ show smiles and not tears
Radical and sensational
~the headlines each day
New-fashioned or en-Vogue
~ Living today's Modern way!
My friends took me down to Broadway
To watch a newfangled ballet
T'was called the Buttcracker
And not the Nutcracker
The title was apt I can say
Some dancers were dressed in tutus
Bulges in their tights gave us clues
All the dancers were male
My friends face turned quite pale
Next time we should read the reviews!

I was kicked out of a classy, cult carnival,
Giddy old newfangled, loveless fat carnival.
Small wonder I fled,
After asking for bread,
From the horror and dread,
Of stones.
A BRAND NEW LIFE!
In time of peace, preach me.
In time of conflict, teach...
When life is forsaken
When strife is a hearkened
A fool will never win.
No skills for boob to give
The game of the chicken
Tame to be no bigger
A mind to do, endure
A brain to have, a cure

If I must run for my life, I’m a dead duck
These old worn-out hips will give out quick
Time came when my arthritis was undeniable
When I walk now, I hear my knees click.
I’m thinking I should consider replacements
Those newfangled techniques are superb,
I saw an old lady with brand new hip joints
Kick an unwitting purse snatcher to the curb.

Tendrils of absolute enthusiasm
Ooze out of Chase, our new eager recruit.
Let me get your coffee, he says to McFhazm.
The hardest guy to impress, the first one to shoot.
You and your newfangled ideas down, we all held our breath.
Too bad for you now, warns our other intern, Young Seth.
We thought Chase was crazy, and would get rebuked away.
But instead, McFhazm made him a V.P. by the end of the day.
They want to tax our axes
Then, take away our trees.
They impose cell phone taxes.
Then, laugh and shoot the breeze.
Lodges, matches, bridges, britches,
Dresses, dishes, finches, fishes.
Hinges, hitches, hedges, hearses,
Lenses, lynxes, luscious lashes…
They dip their hands in every pot.
Spreading wealth around they say…
Big Business taxes are a lot…not!
The newfangled economic way –
The middle class will love to pay!
