What of life? What of death? Clinical murder under investigation.
With cruel calculation, the doctor splits the fetus into sections.
A "little boy's" leg jerks reflexively, a helpless human specimen.
Dreaming of riches, she coldly mutilates, a chilling death sentence.

Nightmares
Around, all around, the dark memories gather.

My dread grows as the dark one's touch falls against

my naked soul.

It mutilates me, and darkly my blood drips to the broken ground.

In horror I cry out while the reaper takes me 

Now alone, my essence falls upon darkened eyes.

stars still shine 
a wonderful labor 
unnoticed 
especially in winter 
when cold folds us 

old trees still grow 
though moss mutilates 
and branches bend 
squirrels leap 
for the joy of leaping 

ants still scurry 
delighted by summer fare 
soda spills 
melted marshmallows 
and watermelon skeletons 

an old poet still needs to write 
it's his plight 
precious pen 
buttering words 
for hungry readers...
