I never thought about being here,
Merely as an option.
To someone, I can’t adore
But also to the one I can’t bestow.
These waves of misperceptions,

As I juggle myself back and forth.

Upon waking up this day, a single tear
Father your eternal immortality 
Still proves wise and gracious
I haven’t been misled by popular opinion
Which should be taken with a grain of salt

Which have shaped our faith
How to think with an open mind, heart, and soul
Father, your every word was a rare gift

I'M Not Here; This Isn'T Happening
If at some point   

This made any sense to me 

I'd be all ears 

 
Promises I'd keep 

To admit the misperceptions

Of my vanity


And my guide would watch me

Give reasons for me to keep moving 

Forward on the lit path 


Anger standing in my way 

We would part like Moses and the Red Sea 

And walk through it in balance 


And if I think I have this right 

To see a light at the end of the tunnel 

Is to focus on nothing else...
