we seek someone
who becomes
a mirror image
of our best

Sun looks down upon
A field of yellow flowers
Sees mirror image

Sunflowers gaze up
Stunned to see there beaming back
Their own reflection

Mirror Image

Look in the mirror
It captures the soul
It tells who you are
No matter how old

Reflections of beauty
Not seen outside
Take a deep breath
Live don't hide

Black Eye

Stormy York of brown
Richness ever so reaching
Capturing the sting
Of a grand display
Spots of finery
A mirror image of secluded immorality
Save the child!!!!!
Surely she screams

You need not remind me of my mortality,

The evidence is reflected in the mirror.

But then you smugly preach about morality,

Come back down to Earth, maybe you'll see things clearer.

Loving Hearts

Battle of the friendly
Stormy York of brown
Richness ever so reaching
Capturing the sting
Of a grand display
Spots of finery
A mirror image of secluded immorality
Save the child!!!!!
Surely she screams

Mirror Image

I stared into the looking glass
and had a choking fit;
It wasn’t my own features there:
I’d turned into Brad Pitt!

I wondered if he found the same;
And had he lost his hair?
I’m sure the belly suits him well…
Who says that life aint fair?

Most
folk
never
do get out
of this life what they
put in, unless satisfaction
of what one puts in is in itself life’s sole reward.
Some just keep on trying to give away kindness but it only keeps on coming back

Conversations

in my sleep
i speak
to the one locked inside
my heart so deep

asking for advice
on how to live this life
telling myself
to put down the knife

i wake in a pool of sweat
heart racing like a jet
I've seen the other side
the mirror image of me, I've met

Critique

Mirror image of attitude
Desperation left a space
Overbearing love
Beaten to the chase

A negative issue
The new all time low
Nurturing the tattered heart
From a story you don’t know

Make it happen
There is reward
I’ll show you my soul
You bring the sword

What manner of man are you

What do you see in the mirror

Does your inspection shed a clue

Does your reflection seem clearer

Is your image worthy of pride

Is it all you hope it would be

Do your eyes glimpse the truth inside

Or see what you want them to see

Premium Member Hammock of Wind

A seed floats on a cushion of air,
a milkweed for a monarch to share
under a sun that fairly grinned
on that hammock of wind.

What fun to feel the breeze and sun
and watch the beauty that God has spun -
monarch wings, mirror image twinned
from my hammock in the wind.

A Mirror Image

She looks into the mirror and turns away. I can't stand looking at myself, my
beauty has gone away. No it hasn't the mirror image says. Look again at yourself,
You are as beautiful as a warm summer day. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
You only get lovelier as you get older.

You who?
I think your name
Might be who are you think
I am you standing in front of
An image am I You

Am I

Inside
The mirror i
See some slight modesty
I am that somebody no one
Knows my rejection in the old

I am you who

Mirror Image

She looked into the mirror,
But didn’t know who she saw
A lost soul looking for its mate
Never to hold or embrace
Back to bed with a stranger
Lonely with bitter touches
Gazing into nothingness
As the days and nights pass on
Forever and ever
As she looked into the mirror
Wondering how time was lost

Mirror Image

he remembers
the way the light played
on her skin and auburn hair
her green eyes glistening

she remembers
the way he touched her
the way he kissed her
his hands tangled in her hair
the way he held her in the night

a reflection - mirror image
the wind was cold
the night, heated with passion

Photograph 1

A mirrored image is what I take.
Outside glance peers inward at the lake.
Falesity declares upon another's lip;
The fullness of my mouth takes a grip.
Shadows dark seem to drape over me.
Beauty that can't be hid the light sees.
Eyes to hands mirror image I stand.
Before me open the door grand.
