Affirmations insistent,
in truth make us resistant,
because love employs no force,
so why then cry ourselves hoarse?
Our heart, not mind, does capture,
thunder of bliss borne rapture.
To perform a true soul scan,
do we need a middleman?
Lean not on gurus, for God search
Why prop up middleman
Sitting on high and mighty perch
Our credit card they scan
God within intimate
Here now immediate
Go in now, do not wait
Power, they abuse
Lean not on gurus

Fake gurus abound, be careful
Why search for middleman
Be as God made us: beautiful
No filter, save love scan
Light flame of innocence
Our soul’s luminescence
Blissful effervescence
Fear spins us around
Fake gurus abound

Marriage is an engagement,
Two minds agreement,
The bed playing the middleman,
A bed,the first debt in marriage for settlement,
Ring brings a debt,
The cake baked in debt,
Dress designed in debt,
Meals in merchants books of debt,
A marriage is said in life to set,
But in fact it's settlements of debts!
Can we talk over dinner?
I’ll be composed,
Salad a middleman
On orange china.
I won’t stare daggers
I’ll only look gently
You won’t upset me
You won’t cry
Tablecloth a barrier
Of polite normalities
No last words.
No hard feeling.
You’ll drift atop
Jello molds,
An angel in suburban hell.
You won’t tell me
You quit your job,
And our haven
Will remain bubble wrapped.
