Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2021
spring is here with all
its blossoms gentle breezes
bird songs melodies
Third Place: Nalabika Ray- Spring Haiku-3/3
Songs that inspire me
Hear the gentle melodies
Lyrics that excite
And quickly moving rhythms
I just love to sing-a-long.
Borrowed all of these
Melodies, to write for me.
Borrowed all of this
Time, to immortalize all
Of what is now left of me.
I sing songs
No one hears.
You can, too.
While I work,
As I play
All alone.
Melodies
From the heart
All for God.
It rings out it's melodies,
bouncing from ear to ear.
It gives you your reason,
and nothing to fear.
Appearing as rays,
Sun sends melodies of love,
On disgruntled trees.
Note: written for Raul Moreno's contest
We all sing and dance to our own tunes...
Choose your melodies carefully.
For A Couple of Lines...
Sounding orchestra,
Comprised of wind and reeds;
Nature’s soothing song.

my sadness dispelled
by the sound of canaries
melodies carried
throughout the air and my heart
vanquishing sad emotions

smell the sweet fragrance of life
all without feeling God's love?
Form:
Moonlight, soft blades
Of painted breezes
Perfect melodies, dancing
In my indulgent dream
Luscious visions
Within delicious thoughts
Form:
Melodies
Of strangers
Passing by.
Distortions
From the known
Passing through.

I have heard you still play them
Those olde, sad songs you loved
Spirited fingertips touch ...
Upon the dusty keys
And haunting melodies
Springtime skies are clear.
Poets are to be admired.
Rain and melodies.

Pass me along
a pair of drumsticks
so I can create
vibrating calypso melodies
on the steel drums
found within the bones of my collar
Creeping warm and green
when the sun returned golden,
spring sang in meadows.
Blooming mountains, bumblebees-
all danced to loved melodies.
Like boats through the fog
They reach the shores of our thoughts
Bringing back the old,
All the scents and melodies
Felt without using senses
ETERNAL SONG
Love:
Eternal song of the
Universe,
Symphony of melodies,
Yet
To be composed
By
The heart!

Sweet melodies ring in the ears when think
How beautiful is the life
When the peace reigns in you

when it rises up in sky
I sing to it melodies
as it passes overhead
and it delivers to me grace
before it goes to rest
in its hotel in the West
Tarzan could yodel with a beat
A whale can sing melodies sweet
But Donald is mean
His mouthpiece the machine
That disseminates hate with a tweet
