Meli and Mak make Mommy melt.
Mak mews marking his milk mission.
Meli mimics Mommy masking many more minutes of mischief.

Naked in the shower,
Water flowing over me
As hot as I can bear;
Scalding my skin,
Masking my tears,
Drowning my cries,
Hardening my heart.
masking waters overflow diverting
over deserts mountains plains

Such transparent lies,
those sad eyes dipped in a smile;
Thinly veiled phrases
masking colors all too real;
I see right through your stained glass.
With roots in hell,
beware her spell.
Poison to sell,
keeping you well.
Masking the pain,
in no way sane.
Frying the brain,
life down the drain.
Our love’s like a virus; it’s true.
It permeates all that we do.
We won’t need our masking,
But thank you for asking,
‘Cause, baby, I’m covid in you.
Manicured blown dry trimly edged attempt at normal urbanity
Routinely and greenly masking ennui insanity
As trees laugh together eyeing my new rake
I think about snow
Darkness holds a place in the chamber,
The uncanny weaves the mind,
There’s an emergence of the strange,
There’s a masking of the odd.

Always the thunder,
never the rain
Deafening bluster,
masking the plain
Never the thunder,
always the rain
Truth buried under,
—rising again

WITH AMPLE SPIRIT
I GO FORTH
INTO THE GLORY
BASKING IN THE LIGHT
OF CELESTIAL DREAMS
IMAGES OF STARLIGHT FEVER
FRESH BEAUTY
DELIGHTS MY EYE
FERVENT ACHING
IN MY HEART
MASKING ALL
THAT LAY BEFORE ME.
With every religion…
to share in the blame
Masking out God,
in costumes of shame
Seeking to own
what they can’t understand
A covetous folly
—a heavenly sham
(Villanova Pennsylvania: August, 2019)
The plague loud drumbeat
Silencing tongue of cities
Falcon still laughing
Masking smile with sneeze
Hurting mind and heart with fear
Eyes are still talking

Angels bright call dangerously,
Eventually fulfilling grave harrowing ideas.
Jarring kindness lies masking now,
Otherworldly persons quietly respond.
Silent turmoil underneath volatile waters,
Xes your zest.

boris broke the rules
attending garden parties
whilst WE stayed at home
He covers his back
rules are now to be relaxed
voters are not fools!
I am cynical
of politicians actions
If the truth be told

Path's cross
Things change
People aren't who
I thought they were
I met other people
I made friends
And you weren't who
I thought you were
But I guess
I'm not who I was either
Path's cross
Things change
Form:
The Truth sometimes can be so bitter
And Lies can be so much sweeter.
But what would you prefer,
The cold hands of life,
Guiding you to reality.
Or
The sweet smell of apple pie,
Masking the stench of death before you.
Piggybacked on a feisty Fall breeze,
November scatters scarlet leaves.
And as foggy breaths of air
disperse like contrails
in the skies above;
flurries of flakes
tumble down
masking
Fall.
