Here Comes the Rain

Beating out a steady song,
   against the windows and roof,
   a lullabye to the soul.
Washing clean the world around,
paving the way for things anew,
   reviving the withered to whole.

Premium Member The Wind

The wind
comes in at night,
bringing with it new ghosts
but I'm wrapped tight in mother's quilt,
each painstaken swatch stitched by her own hand
She sings a breathy lullabye
and rocks me to sleep in
the cradle of
the wind

Premium Member A Funny Thing Happened

A soft rain was falling,
A roof top lullabye I call it.

The sound was so peaceful,
The rhythm lulled me to sleep.

I dreamt I was sailing,
In puddles and streams.

The thunder cracked,
I awoke...my roof was leaking above me.

Gulf of Reality

Rolling tide, music's lullabye,
Sensual lover's teasing whisper,
Tingle my flesh...

Caressing intense glances, knowing my
heart's desire...is you.

Lone sea gull, call my name
Unknown vision or reality
Host my present stormy mood
Call, call, call... to me

Darling Sweetie Lullabye

Rest little darling
Close your eyes,
Dream little darling
Sleepy-byes.

Babies and children
all asleep,
Night-time comes
for those to sleep.
Moon and stars are
way up high,
Just for you to
beddy-bye.

Rest little sweetie
Close your eyes,
Dream little sweetie
Sleepy-byes.

Lullabye Love

My love is like a melody rocking me to sleep
My love is like a solid anchor pulling me down deep

My love is like a soothing voice
Saying nighty night

My love is like a rampaged rage
Saying hold on tight

My love is like a shooting star
Blazing through the sky

But no matter how I grow or change
My love will never die

the teasel skies

The foxes howl
amongst the languid Moon
worn butterfly's wings
the ever balming of the nectar pool
by autumns lullabye

The teasel skies
plays to their secret glade
No to sorrow and mirth
youndrer still
an owl hoots
down dusty lanes

Herald the verte moss
The panacea of a laughing leaf languishing
Best foot forward

Nighttime Lullabye

Go to sleep
My little one
The Sun has gone to bed
Time to wish upon a star
And rest your weary head
Come lay your ear on my breast
Lets snuggle for awhile
And listen as you drift away
To the sandman calling to you
I'll kiss your head and tuck you in
I'll say a tiny prayer for your soul
As you prepare tonight
For tomorrows light
Another day of fun

Karter James

Kutie kid
A Christmas Joy
Really our baby leased for a price
Talking and crawling
Everything is new and wonderful
Relief to know you are growing and well

Justice was served
Angels are aware of your plight
Messiah, loves you from the very start
Eternal savior brought you out of harm's way
Sweet lullabye, sleep peaceful tonight

Karter is our adopted baby(My Nephew)

Premium Member Sleep, My Angel

Sleep, my angel, sleep
Our joy will hold until tomorrow
When we both shall rise
When the sunlight opens up our eyes

Dream, my darling, dream
May gentle visions grace your mind
As owls croon the night
The moon casts to Earth its light

Smile, sweet child, smile
Let princes grace your fantasies
Bring you wondrous love
While the Lord smiles down from above

Premium Member warm november sun

I sit in the sun behind my guard dogs
We are all three as warm as toasted buttered bread
My eyes close; this is a well-earned respite.
I could easily nap, my body is relaxed.
My eyes flutter as I feel them closing
I am suddenly awakened by the irritating caw of a crow
He has broken the serenity, but not taken the sun
There is still something to smile about

soothing as a lullabye
awakened by a crow

Anniversary

Listen to poem:
The cemetery was dark, yet full of peace.
I felt the bodies asleep beneath my feet.

I hummed softly a lullabye as I walked by.
My father's favourite, called Turalurali.

I knew he stood beside me as he whispered
"Have no fear", while I shed a tear.

I told him how I missed him, though twenty years
had passed. A love to last.

And the cemetary was beautiful as we parted once again.
Anniversary meeting between two old friends.

Premium Member Cat Valentine - Revised

Often at midnight, she jumps on my bed;
she comes to me then on her four small feet.
How softly on my blankets she does tread.
So beautiful is she - genteel and sweet;
she reaches out her paw - her way to greet.
It soothes my spirit to be petting her,
for dulcet is her lullabye - her purr!
This green-eyed feline beauty is all mine.
Like black and silken midnight is her fur.
So ladylike is my cat valentine.
