Sleep, My Angel

Sleep, my angel, sleep
Our joy will hold until tomorrow
When we both shall rise
When the sunlight opens up our eyes

Dream, my darling, dream
May gentle visions grace your mind
As owls croon the night
The moon casts to Earth its light

Smile, sweet child, smile
Let princes grace your fantasies
Bring you wondrous love
While the Lord smiles down from above

Great lullabye write..Good luck in the contest..Keep the creative pen flowing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my write "Turned Loose"...I saw a waterfall on tv early one morning and thought about all those women in years gone by and some still do wear their hair up because their father, husband, or religious beliefs say that they should do that...Sara

This is a beautiful lullaby, Carolyn. It is soothing to the soul and certainly would comfort a child while feeling your love through song. Smiles, Dane Ann

A very sweet lullabye and great flow, Carolyn. about my "apple" that happened five years ago. The kid's image has now gone from my mind. It's sure hard to remember after so many students, what they all looked like! But at least I know he resembled Paul Simon becuase I wrote that down. haha. LUv, andrea
