Lying here at dawn
empty arms longing for you,
a new heart you've found.
Morning embraces nightfall,
true love has forsaken me.
MIdnight Hour
Close your eyes
Drifting in darkened skies
Roam that place of private dream and thought
A world that is all your own: a place that judges not
Here your free to love, the love for so long you fought
Witless longing ,far beyond your power
Release, let love flower
Midnight hour
For the Trois Par Huit contest.
Long left and long right
A head swings to and fro
Inside a waltz repeats a loop
Outside the world careless goes by
His foot swings like a pendulum
Banging on a skirting board
They might say
“It’s sad, he’s mad”
He might say
“I remember we danced, in a trance”
Longing left and longing right
His heart yearns for his love
That left that night
Form:
Never and forever
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I look to the past cause our futures denied me
All my dreams of smiles, riches and kisses
I guess I'm content inside
I'm only human, I guess its ok
To wish and hope for more
Just longing for something I'll never see
Like waves on a distant shore
Still you've become a love in my life
Although I've loved you never
You have taken your rightful place in my heart
And that will be yours forever.
