Shoes worn
clothes torn
miles travelled
footprints left behind
Mistakes made
friends regained
lessons learned
love is born
everyday
a lesson learned
some bring pleasure
others hurt
to be sure
the ones that hurt
more valuable
the lesson learned
How now say wow
why even try
fear ever near
life filled with strife
lessons learned
relationships burned
addiction suspicion
heavy hurting hearts
My life, my love, moments lasting, making memories, lessons learned, I listen most leisurely, methodically, meticulously, light-heartedly, laughing magnanimously.
I am not afraid
to live life
one day at a time
to take chances
to live
to think
to learn
I am not afraid
of lessons learned
or
lessons yet to come
End year’s dusk, new year’s dawn,
Lessons learned, new possibilities,
Gratitude fills the last page, anticipation pens the first,
Farewell old year, welcome new year.
Wrong is shameful in both the old and wise,
Take it from one who's lived long enough to know.
Life is a stormy sea of wicked woe,
And tears are no less wet from older eyes.
Be yourself
Enchant from a distance
Have a true dream
Avoid ghoulish competition
Passion in anything
Past lessons learned before reacting
Yes, it’s only beautiful if it’s different…
I shall begin where endings end...
in sun-bleached bones
of lessons learned.
I shall end where beginnings begin...
where wounds heal and scars
are proudly earned!
Saturn burns,
as eight rings turn
Its truth on fire,
no lessons learned
A gas filled magnet,
for solar wind
Where ice and rock
—hide ancient sins
(Villanova Pennsylvania: July, 2016)
The road I have travelled
has brought me here.
My shoes worn
my clothes torn
Mistakes I have made
along the way
Lessons learned
Love beckoned
A song in my heart
You in my arms
Strike up the band
The voice in my head is screaming again,
Open up your heart, mind, and soul.
Let yourself be judged
within the eyes of the ones you love, respect, and admire.
I pray for acceptance,
lessons learned and taught
As Pegasus arose
From Medusa slain,
So the Phoenix grows
From necessary flame.
Ingest your serpents' venom,
Those lessons learned through pain;
Don't wait for death for heaven,
Through your fire be born again.
I will overcome the bad things that disrupted my life
Cherishing these lessons learned that I can now act upon
Cleansing, healing, being all that I can be, a triumph!

For lessons, learned not one
Life-read is slammed tight
Till with as much disgust one more
Pains us; to know right.
With the explosive force
Of being shouted at!
Underlining, with each curse
'calm face'! 'no backchat'!
Churning memories of what was
play across the mind's screen.
Tastes and smells, unbidden reminders
of what was, and of lessons learned.
Cast them aside, reject the haunting;
only this will make possible our journey onward.
I knew it from the very beginning
Loving you was a mistake
And so I learned something new
Not to love someone like you.
But like lessons learned in school
Sometimes we forget
That's why until now
I still do the same mistakes.
My thoughts
tend to wonder
as dreams come into play.
Fresh forged from my reality
I ponder the lessons learned living life
unveiling lies and fake facades,
amidst the hidden truths
time planted in
my thoughts.
The wise learns lessons
from the art, wisdom
and stupidity
of others,
but learns so much more
from the shame and pain
of his very own
blunders,
that is, if from his lapses,
errors and bungling,
he bounces back
and recovers.
This is the time psyche,
your gratis getaway into silence;
away from folks, away from
carriers of culture,
the day is spent, the lessons learned,
now you fully reflect on themes you love best:
nighttime, slumber and dreams.
Of that known of time, how much was learned by watching sand?
Why are the lessons learned so hard to convey; to teach?
Between the past and future; precious, this moment at hand.
A man’s willpower decides what’s real; what’s beyond reach—
My life during
My younger years
Simple but I've enjoyed
Every part of it
Because it molds me
To who I am now
Lessons learned
From my parents
Who disciplined us
I know they're watching us
There in heaven
Missed you so much
Mom and Dad.
Goes too far to stretch the truth, confusion pushes through the room.
Everyone wasn't left upbeat, teary eyes and raging fumes.
Lessons learned , trust lost, and an inability to communicate.
How did you think, but you didn't, so lies begin to accumulate.
Form:
standing on a cliff, waving at the ship
drought hit eyes, a sorrow ending
happiness in goodbye, never destined
lessons learned, pages turned,
a new chapter waiting for his return
five steps back and five steps forward
amorous story and remergence
Rune awakenings
Wise ones nurture my rapture
kindred souls share my light halo
The “Presence” guides lessons learned
(Rune-characters written in ancient languages to explain text. Mystical meaning, casting spells in poems, sayings or aphorisms.)
