Premium Member The Washing of the Stone
a bed of stones unloosed to spill from its path
through fresh waters flow to the distant sea
laving pebbles from its silty rough wrath
from rivers fresh to brackish brine's debris
the journey ends where it began its ascendancy
drifting as the impetus of tidal destiny...

Our Sunset
LIFE FLOWS FROM ME WITH EACH EXHALATION OF BREATH

TEARS WATER THE ARID DESERT OF MY SOUL.

THE WIND HOWLS THRU THE SKELETAL REMAINS OF MY BEING

AND DUST, DUST, DUST PORTRAYS ME.

A SNEEZE, THE LAVING OF HANDS, SHAKING OF SHEETS AND I AM NO MORE.

THE RED OF SUNSET SHOWS SO MANY SOULS....

Essential Persistence
The wisdom of the wind is motion,
Wandering ecstatic, yet sublime.

The charity of rain is laving lotion,
Cleansing residues of urban grime.

Exploration
I am tasting the pristine water melted from the highest mountain up high
Dancing with the sun's rays over glazing summer's green grass
Floating with the weltering waves of a vast ocean at sunset
Riding the aborning knowledge of our next generation
Smelling the chastity of the first bud of spring bloomed with beauty and maturation
I am exploring your heart
laving your soul
sharing your thoughts
before I can love you...

Premium Member This Steady, Slow Drizzle
Listen to poem:
Our little stream flows
but a trickle most days
but rises, runs, today --
all busy energy.
Its perky
change of pace
does not match
my current cast of face.
Still, this steady
slow drizzle
has its damp uses --
laving dusty leaves
to clean and shiny green.
I am not thankful
for gray skies --
they bring no joy
as bright sunshine might...
only sober, quiet periods
for reflection
unaffected by the colors
of cheerier weather....
