A mist led Sunday morning,
Indian Ocean walked beyond the territories,
Dressed in black cloth like a no moon night,
Some Banks sank under the Tsunami waters,
Currency notes floating like paper boats,
Dressed in wetness,
Launders came and ironed all the flood washed notes!
Maternal maidens modestly make miracles
Incubating infants into incarnation
Loyally loving laundering life
Completing consciousness crowns, circulating
Fortuitous freedom, forgiving
Enlarged egocentric expulsions
Boundlessly boiling beseeching brothers
Preventing planetary peace
Wisely Worship women with wholeness...
Many are them in the diaspora
Wandering in other's wilderness
Laundering their battered image
Conquering the world like a mirage
Mustering last energy for a return home
Pondering over the puzzle of un-uttered racism
Yet, dark in our black
Of the black origin
But not of the black brain.

When you're burgling, awareness is best;
When he saw her, he thought 'twas in jest.
Forgetting the shih tzu,
Or Granny's jujitsu,
Both his shirt and some charges were pressed.
Theft and laundering just do not pay,
Not when Granny is holding the spray.
Got starched for his error,
He stiffened in terror;
Slapped with irons, they took him away.
