Hey Jeff, that's your fourth cup of Joe!
I can't help it. I feel sluggish and slow.
I've had four up at top,
But not even one drop
Has arrived at my stomach below.
A garrulous, loquacious, querulous person can be extremely jejune and petulant.
In other words,
They are usually wordy, talkative, cranky-whining and often dull or ill-humored people.
He used to be:
wordy, verbose, prolix,
chatty, jejune, digressive,
tedious, long-winded, repetitive,
elaborate, grandiloquent, loquacious,
pretentious, comprehensive, circumlocutory
Now he is:
pithy
The grandeur of my bottle garden
I save from the wrath of the polar wind,
sparkling spring showers charismatic colors
of my floral heart in the garden of love.
In the shadow of the jejune time I see
in Klimt's tree of life fervent flowers bloom,
spread surreal fragrance of yearning
in the stardust drizzling in the mystique night.
As darkness fell with suddenness,
the sun slid behind the blood moon.
Sounds of nightlife emerged off tune.
You flaunted your unevenness,
emboldened by dark drunkenness.
Your twisted mind a fierce monsoon
as darkness fell.
You came with sulky sullenness
and brought your foul humor jejune.
You played the part of grisly goon
and had lost all your humanness
as darkness fell.
An arrow shot cannot be retracted,
so it would appear we must suffer fate
but impacted not by light refracted,
the hermit is calm in stillness sedate,
knowing that in time ripples will abate.
No target is offered by empty space,
where all that exists, is love, light and grace,
so if we be as such, we are immune,
living out our life at an easy pace,
deeming dance of destiny as jejune.
Haywire ghetto, lingering corpses, malingering sunshine,
Malignant malediction, staccato with disseminating stench,
Portending: ichor, insipid blood and wenches.
Juxtaposition of aphotic with aphotic; incognizant iniquity.
Noxious oxygen, attenuated jasper, jejune jardiniere:
Zion.
Smoke: implicative cornice,
Sherry or vitriol?
Ours, a world, that feigns polo in alcohol!!

I am Neptune's daughter. I carry
Ancient salty sea in my veins, and all
Its watery wildlife. Daddy is an old git
With beautiful merman scales. He sails
Above the ocean squall while I squat
And watch from the cliff,
Wondering if the jet net and
Hack-harpoon of my heart
Will yet catch a fat whale, or holy haul of
Salmon, sunset pink. Obscured by
Needle-fish violence,
And the jejune juice
Of squid ink.
The sand under my feet
burning bright;
the sky, a black hole of Erebus;
not a soul, not a whisper,
a feast of jejune sight!
My eyes, a saga of sadistic affairs,
my lips, swollen like jellybeans;
flesh in my limbs red with fire,
I look and long for deathly scenes!
Burning twigs light the world,
while black smoke lovingly embraces-
in hatred;
I stay awake - a moving carcass,
Love, where are you? et tu dead!
O, wondrous white orb of luminescence
Fascination's journey's true essence
New -- an emerging banana-shaped crescent
Waxed Full -- night sky's effervescence
Master of ocean's tides in, then out
Presiding o'er drowned sailors' last shouts
Wolves yelp and howl at you
Jews and Muslims bow and worship you
Prithee, O alabaster enigma of jejune
How did the cow jump over you?
~ and has the dish run away with the spoon?!
Adjectival expansion:
describing the resident
of the Executive Mansion:
I give you, the President …
mean, obscene,
rotten, misbegotten,
rough-hewn, jejune,
numb, dumb,
rude, lewd,
sadistic, hubristic,
orange-dyed, red-tied,
frightful, spiteful,
greedy, weedy,
grim, dim,
crabby, flabby,
freely-swearing, diaper-wearing,
furious, incurious,
sallow, shallow,
benighted, indicted,
painted, tainted,
addicted, convicted.
wee hours of the morn
deep stillness the mode
as funnel of pure awareness
we stand erect in our abode
all worlds around us swirl
illusions, dreamlike surreal
around the Sushumna whirl
we know them to be unreal
we are at the centre
pristine, untouched, nonchalant
we feel no urge to enter
for our heart is free from want
several hours go by
we remain in our cocoon
tranquil our heart, single our eye
manifest worlds jejune
We raised gourd houses for the Purple Martin
Atop a pole, against a fluid sky
Where late jet thunder spews
A raid cloud--ambitious wonder.
Intense, our Southern sky, like old dreams
Harbors a night's Aeolian pine,
A day's jonquil in oxblood sod
And simmering heat enchanting jejune asphalt.
But room lies yet in sanctuary swamps
For thinning fox grape, hawk and mockingbird..
One idea away from a maze of pipe and brick
On hunger's soulless map.
The Hedgerow birds are wilting,
even the circling hawk
gives them no alarm.
All is too low to the baking ground,
the hot irons of the sun
are smelting bones.
This listless stupor
threatens to unwind the mainsprings
of a limber joy.
The hot sky has no memory
it plants one moment,
into the next,
seeds squish and crush
the earth with a jejune heaviness.
The day will end wingless
in pools of turgid body-sweat.
We will simmer slow then
wingless unto God we go
wet & witless.
