Prithee -- How

O, wondrous white orb of luminescence
Fascination's journey's true essence

New -- an emerging banana-shaped crescent
Waxed Full -- night sky's effervescence

Master of ocean's tides in, then out
Presiding o'er drowned sailors' last shouts

Wolves yelp and howl at you
Jews and Muslims bow and worship you

Prithee, O alabaster enigma of jejune
  How did the cow jump over you?
  ~ and has the dish run away with the spoon?!
