Little Miss Fancy Font
A sweet little girl named Alex.
Always put words in italics.
Plain print wouldn't do.
So when she was through.
They were known as Alex Italics....

Thanks to Russell, there is something I want to try.
See if this comes out in italics with your eye.
I’m just following Russell’s advice.
If it works, I think it will look nice.

Bold Italics Center
It took awhile,
 but I am OCD
now following directions and opening my mind
 at last the
bold, italic, center tags
make sense finally satisfied with the find I am no longer dense....

The Loss of the Rose
The rose has been raped of her beauty
Stolen by hordes of dreary lines
And to be leached further still
Until nothing remains of her
But yellowing birthday cards
And sugar-free quotes, in italics
Like a rose is like nothing at all...

The Coat of Burden
Seasons given, time was served
  Still standing, she observed

Breathing in shallow glimpses
  Peering through different lenses

A new reflection in the mirror
  Something missing, once familiar

The coat of burden is not there
Now her feelings all laid bare.

Thank you David....

I love you much, that's all I'll say
I'll save it for another day
My love for you is here to stay
And how I hope there'll be a way
To be with you for all my life
An honor if you'd be my wife
Effortless, that's how it'd be
If someday you would in italics

Pumpkins By the Door
Nothing shouts out autumn
Like a pumpkin by the door
Or a window jack-o-lantern
(What a pumpkin's really for).

Yes, the leaves are falling quickly
And the air is crisp and fine
But a pumpkin is the exclamation point
(Italics mine).

If you live where autumn visits
Then you really can't afford
To be stuck without a pumpkin
(Or you're out of, yes, your gourd!)....

Emptiness
The emptiness of this room
As it gets closer and closer
Alone and deserted without no one in sight
italics/em>Where are all the people italics/em>

It is so sad you gone
Left me in the air of no return
My heart is broken
italics/em>My heart shattered to pieces italics/em>

The days go past me without a word said
The mornings feel lonely
The nights are more empty...

Premium Member Flirtation
Achingly slow the way that we kissed,
enjoying the entrapment we laid in.
You commemorated this with cursive.

The soft swirl and soft hand of cursive
matched us as the paper was kissed.
Italics bold as your tongue trucked in.

It was comforting how you creeped in
with flirtation flowing in pristine cursive.
Immortality penned the way you kissed.

A love letter french kissed in cursive....

A gentle murmur from receding waves
the tender sound
of your voice
rippling
words.
Sand
trickles
through my toes
as time goes by
I think of you and hunger for your touch.

Quiet porch and a lazy chair,
sitting for a while is a song.
A blue collar stereotype.

Highlights visible from the air,
bold italics will show up strong.
Iconic, working that pinstripe.

Dusk saunters in devil may care,
sizzling whatever could go wrong?
Tipple a taste of this peace pipe.

Like a view of the county fair,
the big girl rides go all night long.
Such fine architectural hype.

I have built my diorama,
a caricature of drama.

How Do You Handle a Hungry Bomb?
It is creeping closer with dire certainty
the Headlines in italics:HERE COMES WW3
Target first is CALIFORN
New York next will soon be TORN
Boston with a Nuclear TREAT
Autographed by Militant Bozos
Life couldn't be any more SWEET
Tracking missiles heading out to SEA
Tsunami waves, fun for you and ME
Bush and the grinning CHIN
Playing Atomic Chess that neither side can WIN
All I want to know,it is a question from my MOM
How do you handle a Thermonuclear BOMB?...

Leaves in Seasons

In Spring, on trees,
Leaves bud and brown
In Summer, on trees,
Leaves grow and green.
In Fall, on trees,
Leaves wither, yellow and fall.
In Fall, on ground,
Leaves brown.
In Winter, on ground,
Leaves decay in white snow.
In Spring, in dirt,
Leaves green in new grass grow.

Comments:
In full display, I use font colors of brown, green yellow and white.
But can’t here, so for colors, I used bold italics on brown
Enjoy!...
