dog and god
same letters
no mistake

they both have my prayers
I shall loan dog my positive energy too
I have plenty

For mankind

they are both

showing us unconditional love always...

A Lullaby For a Suicidal Butterfly
A lullaby
For the suicidal butterfly
Tracing figure eights on my window panes.

Broken wings,
Torn by thunderstorms
And rosebushes,
Are still beating fruitlessly:
In hope,
Or foolishness,
The two are interchangeable.

A lullaby
For the suicidal butterfly
Arcing lazily overhead
For a last-breath sunset....

Premium Member You Make It Hard To Sleep
You make it hard to sleep without you,
anticipation feels like chaotic lines;
My pulse has become arbitrary
devoid of a purpose to persist;

Anticipation feels like chaotic lines
interchangeable beginning and end;
Devoid of a purpose to persist,
alone I toss and turn in bed;

Interchangeable beginning and end
my pulse has become arbitrary;
Alone I toss and turn in bed,
you make it hard to sleep without you....

Losing Track
Once you are retired
(And there is no going back),
The days are interchangeable
And you keep losing track.

Monday feels like Friday
Or like Saturday, perchance;
You’re never certain ‘til
Upon the calendar you glance.

It’s slightly disconcerting
But it’s cutting loose, as well.
Each day is like another,
All the same and parallel.

A part of me still misses, though,
When I could really say
TGIF was reason for
A hearty hip-hooray!...

Premium Member Light Vs Dark
Behind the light, there is darkness.
Behind the darkness, there is light.
Controversial light.
Forever interchangeable depth.

A shield protects and blocks out the other.
Forbidding one from exposing the other.

High and almighty I raise my shield.
Protect and hide.
For without it,
With only one strong and mighty blow,
A crack shall appear and expose such controversy.
Light into darkness.
Darkness into light.
Forever exposed and changed....

Motes
Their forms have leaked into my mind;
women who have become
interchangeable body parts
in a chemical reaction I have with myself.

A female once undressed with a smile
seeps through closed lids,
another woman, once passed on a street
lived for years as a reoccurring fantasy;
she suckles an incubus,
born from a proliferant lust.

It returns to me now;
speaks as an imago and apprehension.

"Don’t worry father,
my crippled condition
can't be seen
behind your open eyes"....

Premium Member How to move forward
The be all and end all
So rapid in and out of context
Illusion mostly, loitered in
Facts change
We are not in a whirlpool
The end and the beginning
Interchangeable often
Pins and needles
Reminding us to move
Yet we just switch our footing
I can walk in any direction
Choose flight and land
Destinations can be haphazard
I can map it out, plot
Yet I'm unaccustomed to spells
But perhaps recipes and scripts
Should resume
To be conjured into existence
Is all anyone ever wants...
