fire in the ocean
burning, searing
hotter than the sun
but amongst the flame
inside the embers
a dark ocean
has waves taller
than the fires blaze,
the dark waters
hold oceans
hold inlets
hold seas
and in these waters
lie shadows
of the seize

keyboard
deep breath
thought break
dead end
and then…
the words sprint
in blinding
flash lightning
too quick
to comprehend
try to break it down
words of singular
splashes and
channels of dashes
that one unique line
of something sublime
poetical console
staccatos
inlets of fjords
announce
the square sum of
nothing

A hush came upon
The noon time sun
The season has gone
with this ground undone.
In snow as feathers
fall landing soundless
I see its letters
In perfection's guess.
The sky the paragraph
The tomb of gone time
In an icing of a draft
Giving a totemic rhyme.
My stores are poor
The land to yield
This season no more
As buried in this field.
In Spring to find the means
To be drawn to rivulets
And meandering streams
To sea by tidal inlets.
