Elusive prophet
while the bearer of good news
sings with the Angels
then flirts with society...
indistinct the conductor.

Premium Member Toeing the Line

Toe the line, why?
Who decides I should toe the line
Sometimes the line becomes indistinct
And fades into oblivion
So it is impossible to see where the line is

A eureka moment inside
Indistinct ,then becoming clear

I Love You

First time I want to say you something First time I want to meet with you This is lovely, enchanting An indistinct feeling Until I reach you I want to say For ever I love You.

Premium Member Moonlight Laugh

Napping on small boat,
adrift in the bay currents,
crimson moon rose enticing.
Red rays in the dark.
A shadow jumped like a fish.
Too indistinct in the darkness.
Did I hear a laugh in the moonlight?

Night subdues color till Dawn's light pierces its indistinct heart and it bleeds scarlet onto crimson smeared alabaster clouds. (Tableau) 3/18/2021 Tableau - 6 Lines Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Joseph May

INSIGHT
Ideas with nowhere to hide
buried deep within long
forgotten dreams
indistinct ,then becoming clear
words & pictures coming near-
like petals on a stream;
A fragrance that lingers within
a passage of light to my soul,
inspiration to make me whole.

I Am Nothing

I am no one and nothing of importance
lest you look a little deeper into my eyes and read my soul.
I am indistinct and unremarkable, naked and revealed
transparent for the world to see the emptiness of nothing.

And yet, I am everyone - visible with only myself to show.

Cognitive Orphans

You don’t have
to write them all
but thoughts
deserve a chance

To live beyond
this time and place
in words reborn
to dance

You don’t have
to set them free
but guilt
will curse your ink

For thoughts unread
trapped in your head
to wander
— indistinct

Morning

On the path when the broken twigs burn,
the sun rules the world,
barriers collapse,
chains dissolve.
Looking at them,
so small, so indistinct,
in the struggle, in gloom.
Floods upon me, the brightness,
freedom is near.
The game of life is far away.
Nobody knows me,
a faint line of sand,
along the river flow.

Premium Member Silver Arrow

Vi's faded jeans
folded for another occasion.
Their distinction -
a silver arrow on main pocket

Friends would ask of
its significance,
but Vi became vague
and slowly indistinct

It was large, so prominent...
A silver arrow pointing down
with determination
to the reddish Texas earth

Enigmatic World

My marmalade eyes
are viscous
lids sticky
gummed up
glazed over
the world is
sometimes imperceptible
sometimes impenetrable
nebulous
opaque in appearance
incomprehensible
indeterminate
indiscernible
enigmatic world
why is your
complexion so
indistinct
today?

Distinctions

Indistinct things
In night’s malaise
Mar morning haze.
We slowly die
Across far sky
On scalloped wings.

September hones
Away the nights—
Blur city lights—
Bleach pale claw marks
Above brown parks
Fading to bones.

Summer now flees—
Blanch indigo
Of afterglow—
Patina wind—
Yesterday’s sin
Of twisting leaves.

Penumbra

PENUMBRA

A semi-hidden place
Out of the limelight
Hovering in shadow
And almost unseen
But still a dim copy
Sometimes cast large
And sometimes not
Its own shade of grey
Moving in synchrony
An indistinct identity
As if self-conscious
Yet knowing its role
To echo and follow
Like its black cousin
Faithful until it’s dark

Bad Day

Brittle, uneven nails
Jabbing her skin
Kept her alert
While forcing a grin

Blank, saddened eyes
Skimming the faces
Sure, to keep moving
Refraining embraces

A mumbling cycle
Of indistinct chatter
Diverted attention
From what was the matter

Leaving the impression
She had little to say
With no one aware
She had a bad day
Form: Rhyme

The Infinite, the Indistinct

let the world fall
let light extinguish
let the beauty of all
truth, life, nature
decay & fall
in slippery chunks
past the windows
let the world bleed it's self out
in dingy-dark water color
& slide like rain from the rooftops
our rooftops, our windows
our world
falling
graceless & graceful
over the last edge of sanity
the precipice
of all finalities

Reflections

Years of lifetime thrown away,
I am encaged of bars I created myself.
The host and the hostage;
The prisoner and the prison.
They are all the same,
They are all me.

I have been here long enough
To have befriended the shadows,
Shadows that are almost indistinct
From the cold dark floor that I lie on.
My cries fade out through the bars
And the shadows swallow me, whole.

                *foop*
now you thought you seen me
                 nope
              you don't
    mine slips back unto the
              indistinct

Premium Member Masks

Behind the masks
We are safe
From epidemics
Behind the masks
Thieves and robbers
Being not recognised
Are safe too
Behind the masks
Voices become indistinct
Dining becomes inconvenient
Smiling hidden
Anger has no vent
Sorrow and despair overlooked
Beauty not appreciated
Behind the masks
Just like the politicians and cheaters
Never show their real faces
But don't worry
God always read your hearts
But not your faces
