Masks Can Be Worn Incorrectly

we can spot the ones who have had a lobotomy
Their masks are under their noses and their chins...

Oh have I spelled it incorrectly
Does it matter maybe it does
Or maybe not
Why should accuracy matter
When writing of delusion
Compounding fault...

Surrounding Our Being
Is consciousness God…
his church the sublime
As we look incorrectly,
ever hoping to find
His very existence,
the womb that enwraps
Surrounding our being
—all sentience trapped

A Spider is Not an Insect
This poet has most incorrectly checked
The little box which indicates "insect."
This poem, I therefore flatly reject.
I sharply reproach the writer.
A spider, never an insect, was.
I say this insistently because,
He should say "sorry." Until he does,
I remain a concerned spider....

Comma
When I was younger, I would constantly proofread my suicide letter.
God forbid the last thing I be remembered by be an incorrectly used comma.
These days, I write poetry that merely dance around the subject.
It's worrisome to others, but I personally prefer this art to perfecting a last goodbye....

Saying Honey In a Mean Way
There is a certain way to say "honey" that is in no way sweet.
A mean, cranky, crabby, put-you-down sort of way.
I did not know this until today.
When I heard a teacher using “honey” incorrectly.
Not an endearment the way she said it.
The whole class was listening.
I wonder if she calls her honey “honey” in this way.
I have always steered clear of her.
This practice will not change....

Peace Abounds
(redo of Quietude, which I had done incorrectly for rules of a quietus poem)
Peace abounds. Feel great calm; stay still.
Deep silence you will hear.
Watch sun sliding behind the hill.
Can you feel God is near?
This is my spirit’s food;
with joy I am imbued
in lovely quietude.
Tranquil sounds.
Peace abounds.

I Would Never Raise My Child Like That
She had all kinds of suggestions.
I was raising my children incorrectly.
She could not stop giving me ideas.
She had never had children of her own,
but I pretended to listen.
My children groaned when they saw her coming.
Made themselves scarce, which gave me a little break.
Ten years later when she had her own children she apologized
for all of those "I would never.'s" because she told me that she has now....

Existentially Deconstructing the Knock-Knock Joke Into the Perfect Moral Tale
"Knock-Knock!" - Who's there?
"Diaphragms!" - Diaphragms who?
"Diaphragms...Don't always seem to work...
...I don't know how else to tell you this...
...So I am just gonna say it
as politically correct
and incorrectly apolitical
as I've been reprogrammed to speak
by The Disney Company:
"Luke, I am your sperm donor!"
- I sure hope I don't disappoint you as much
as George Lucas disappoints God and such..."...

Wrebird
Wirebird
A silhouette
against the sky
high perching bird
black on a black
Wire..
Consider the wire
as connecting with
many many
stretching wiremiles..
Let us say that
there is no length
and say incorrectly
it's infinitely (long)..
The Wire is whole
knowing only itself..
How does the Wire
create the bird..?
It coils itself
within itself:
and a self arises
(myself on a walk!)
watching a bird
on a wire......

addded a d as i please
mispelt misspelt
carrried an extra r
mispronounsed mispronounced
elongated should be longer
shrinks don't reduce the poem
they just show you what you didn't know
in every dictionary its always spelled incorrectly
drew your eyes to a drawing drawn of dawn dawning
the parts of light split are so pretty

the taste of apple candy wrapped...

Your Shorts Are Ugly
Not the trend
but still to buck
what if i am wired
incorrectly
the only word
in the dictionary
always spelled incorrectly
So for my choice
Dont really share
no one to care
I will lie and bend the truth
so what to believe
The freedom of Adam and Eve
The artificial metropolis
keeping an eye on 1984
America's unfound dream
Two point four children
If my thoughts do blacken
the life that leads my way
Would my life be better
than the one i live
today...

Mirror, Mirror Hanging Inside
Their is a reflection within you blindsided
that which has already decided one way or the other
sometimes the truth has a relationship
and love can never be divorced from it
Why do you hold the cross incorrectly
standing at the altar rails claiming to be religious
Holy Innocence is found guilty within your court
is their something behind those eyes lost beyond saving
in that which tortures your freedom of choice
and makes a slave out of life condemning a soul to death...
