Nations; all studying their own history, as to reclaim back others land grab
Mother Nature; it's ok, when it comes to earth, I've got this one in the bag

Yamamoto's pitching. It's in the bag,
The Dodgers will win a pennant flag.
Of course, they'll win. How can they not?
The answer, friend, is Tanner Scott.

Premium Member Dog with a Satisfied Mind

I'm a fairly contented hound.
What I seek is not profound.
As long as I have a snout to sniff,
that certain something to take a whiff,
and a tail to briskly wag,
my life's in the bag.

Wiggelly, Wiggelly Wag

Wiggelly, wiggelly wag,
a worm is in the bag;
squiggelly, squiggelly squoo,
and now I've counted two;
wiggelly, squiggelly dee,
another one is three!

LOL, my nursery rhyme for Eve's contest, written 5th March

The Games That I Do Like To Play

My balls have dropped
And I’ll chase them down
Just where did they fall
Well to the ground
I will pick them up
One by one
Put them in the bag
That they came from
Without my balls
I cannot play
The games that I do like to play

Premium Member kraken bagged his first clipper ship

kraken bagged his first clipper ship on a Monday afternoon.
I love the feel of it in the bag, he told his cousin Swoon.
Swoon thought that keeping a ship in a bag was bad luck.
He asked how the creatures would breathe, but
Kraken did not give a gut

As Victory Is In Sight

E-arly morn sixth of July,
D-elightful success is in view;
E-xpect the target isn't easy,
L-et your faith make it through.
I-n spite of the hard time, hope for the very best;
A-nother win is in the bag after passing the biggest test.

T-riumph is virtually secured,
O-n the day you see the light;
M-ove on keeping the love,
A-s victory is in
S-ight.

Rotten Potato

Rotten potato
In a sealed bag to be sold
Shaped differently with a smell
To become potato chips to be fried

Rotten potato
Destined to be peeled
With strange deformities
To be dressed up for potato salad

Rotten potato
Found in the bag
Then found another
To spoil the whole bag

Rotten potato
Tossed away
Came into the earth
To grow other potatoes some day

Durex

Durex was popular in a NY condo
His wife was Kimono Toyota Hondo
                                       They went to Okamoto
Passed the night in a grotto
Left ratty rubbers in the bag of Londo

Friday Night Lights

Sweat rolls down my
Face
Five seconds left
Down a touchdown
Without an extra point
We have the ball
Crowd is wild
We’re going to win,
We’re going to go
To state
My team and I
Have it in the bag
No need to worry
“One, two. Hut.”
The ball is thrown
To me
Caught it
Running as fast as I can
Trip, fall but make it
“Touchdown.”
Friday night lights
Is what makes the
Game worth it.

JUDD TRUMP

I don’t think snooker will ever be the same.
Now that Judd Trump is playing the game.
Fast and furious is he.
No time to even make a cup of tea.
Seventeen days ago we had not heard of him.
Tonight we thought he was going to win.
He kept us on the edge of our seat.
Thought he was going to be impossible to beat.
But then John Higgings had it in the bag.
He won the game for his Dad.

An Indian Boy

That Indian boy, unwashed, in rags, and black,
(India is, as in Art we say Nobel Laureate; in Might they call it ‘Nuclear State’)
Walked by the Dal-lake’s breezy bank,
Playing an unknown song on flute;
Carrying balloons on a bamboo stick,
Flying high in air,
And around his shoulders a worn dirty bag—
Contained flutes.
The naughty school boys irritated him,
Punched the balloons
And searched in the bag.

Premium Member The Alarm Clock

Alarm clock, how I loathe thee!
How dare you wake me?
Dancing in Carnival in Brazil!
The lead Sambista,too, after all,
Covered with sequins and frills,
And I was to receive an award.
I want to throw you forward!

You are a monster in my life.
Waking me always to days of strife!
So off you go to a second hand
store......
Stop fussing in the bag now, you
obnoxious bore!

Premium Member John Doe

The chase after door was ajar. From window to window, that far. The buzz in my ear, The fly needs to fear. The whiz of my swatter on par. “I’m hit,” says the fly, out of steam. Is it truly dead or a scheme? Over and over… its eyes ice over. I suck up the fly with air stream. Dear Dad, you’ll be happy to know the fly you let in, had to go The show he put on - Its buzz, it is gone. It's buried in the bag - a John Doe.

Premium Member More Is More

she kept hearing the weird phrase on the news
Less is more
What the heck did it mean?
She reached for the last donut in the bag
Dang!

Scarfed down a couple of chips
They did not appease her
She felt the elastic in her panties cutting into her waist
Dang!

her poodle-like cat made a weird sound
She stared at it
not big enough for a meal
Dang!

More is more, she said
Not less is more
Less is less
The cat rolled his eyes and said “Dang”.

A Work of Art

Masterpiece of excellence
That's what you are
A work of art
Bought at the highest price
The most looked at piece
The gallery is full of vultures
Seeking after your perfection
Every piece exquisite
Nothing out of place
What such beauty
I think I will buy this piece
You are very unique
Very tall, where are the flaws
As I put it in the bag
I read the tag
Looks are deceiving
Look inside my heart
And you will discover the real art

Short Line Ii

Ugh!

Latching onto this ones own miserable misery
Creating a fog sweeping sweet
She brushed her brow, put on make-up
Turning the other cheek

She favored ignorance is no excuse
When she thought ignorance is bliss
She had it in the bag to begin the abuse

What suiting question for the questioner
If I pulled a rabbit from a hat
Could you please disappear

Humiliated emotions
Don't seem to strike her
Awkward moments
She can't seem to recover

Ode To the Afl

ODE TO THE AFL!!! (Melbourne, Australia, a unique whimsy)

Are footy fanatics,
Total raving lunatics?
The flag's in the bag!
We've got some lively lads,
Best we've ever had!
Peter Pans on pot,
The flags that time forgot,
Footy finals fever,
Talk about dream weavers!
Footy finals phobias,
TV claustrophobia,
Why didn't we win?
Any old excuse again!
Footy fanatics,
Raving lunatics,
Footy finals fever,
Melbourne's dream weavers!

(And we wouldn't have it any other way!!)
