Premium Member The Masses
The brainwashed masses,
Wearing rose-colored glasses,
And nonchalantly flashing passes,
Never realizing the hourglasses
Are running out of time.

Miasmic shadows
And dystopian blows
Are working to transpose
The masses' crystal rose
Into a thick unending slime....

Premium Member Jerrys Decision To Travel
Jerry stared at the travel poster for Hawaii
The women were shaped like perfect hourglasses
wearing skimpy outfits, dancing for him

if Jerry jumped on a plane to Oahu
he would become dazzling
and have luck with the ladies

none of them liked him in Ohio
not like these sirens!
He began planning his trip...

Time's End
When hourglasses tick
And dogs fly through the air
When the sky turns green
And fish grow heads of hair.

When apples turn blue
And birds swim in the sea
When the grass becomes purple
And cats scream “I’m finally free!”

We will know something’s wrong.
What is to be our fate?
What can it possibly be?
All we can do is wait....

Premium Member Convoluted
My subjective has been documented
by my objective – sort of like, my
thoughts verify my brain, though
no one can see them. I guess, what
I'm trying to say is, Time exists
independent of watches and hourglasses,
I think...well, this is getting far more
convoluted than I had originally thought.
I'm getting nowhere. It would take a
God to explain this....

Recrudescence
Stuck in a loop,
Staring into space,
Time and time again,
Making the same mistakes...

Soaring one moment,
Crashing the next;
From long conversations
To unanswered texts;

Hourglasses and pendulums,
Keepers of time,
Are stopped and restarted,
The clockwork rewinds;

Stories are rewritten,
Hearts are unfurled,
Memories fade away,
To the beginning I return....

Premium Member Beach Idyll: Spencerian Stanza
Sheer lucid waves caress this oyster beach,
an aqua drowse viewed through a saffron lend,
and siren rip tides coax into a breach
as lambent grains of sand insouciant wend
the dunes of torpid eons through the bend
of hourglasses warped like new-blown glass.
In half-remembered mimes soft breezes send,
behind my eyelids as sweet lilts amass,
the plucking of a lyre string as high seagulls pass.

The Essence of Your Soul Stops the Beat of My Heart Deep Inside
The desire for you has lasted a thousand years

The sadness of loss has brought many tears

The love in our hearts has lasted forever and a day

The look in your eye makes time melt away

The sound of your voice stops the clocks flowing hand

The smell of your hair ceases the hourglasses flowing sand

The touch of your hand halts the very turn of the tide

The essence of your soul stops the beat of my heart deep inside...
