Just another grey day to endure

So Oliver won’t be asking for more

Love’s better when you’re a beginner.
On Valentine’s Day, you’re a winner.
For the old married gal
It’s a day usual.
And you’re lucky to get a free dinner!

46 Attention

Why do some humans want attention?
They crave the spotlight
And the fame
And nothing more

I never wanted it yet
On that one day it stalks me
The Ides of March
Beware!

Repeatedly through the day
I'm reminded
I've lived
Another year

Please,
I don't want to be reminded
It's just another day
Another day in the year

"easter"

The day for joy is finally here.
This special day comes once a year.
Day of rememberance of the light.
Buried in the tomb 3 days and 2 nights.
Open your heart and let Jesus Christ in.
He lived and died for all of our sins.
This day comes for us all to see.
Jesus Christ lives in you and me.

"thanksgiving Day"contest

Table is set for the family.
Harvesting the food.
Awaiting a prayer.
Nourishment for the soul.
Kindness is for all.
Sharing what you have.
Grateful to our Lord.
Invitation to share a meal.
Very willing to give.
Inspiration of the day.
Neighbors gathering.
Giving a day of thanks.

Delicious food.
A day of thanks.
Your family.

Twas the Day After Christmas

Twas the day after Christmas
where memories abound
of family and friends
all gathered around.

The house now lays silent
where conversing had been,
remembering the joy
and the mood we were in.

The tree looks much lighter
and the walkway not thin
as the floor is now empty
where the presents had been.

Twas the day after Christmas,
yesterday is now gone
but only in passing,
in our hearts it lives on.

Remembering.........

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

sometimes far we travel
to share a special feast
a day that's very special
just to say the least
a day for me to thank you
for everything you give
like peaceful understanding
that I'm living to let live
and I'm thankful for forgiveness
for many my mistakes
but most of all I'm thankful
you give everything it takes
so thank you everybody
for favors big and small
I hope you know how much
I appreciate it all
