Premium Member Gently On the Shoulder
I know some may
prefer the way
  of folks direct, up front

Some love panache
forthright and brash,
  outspoken as you want

Some may prefer
the crash and blur
  of histrionics bolder

But as for me
I'd rather be
  tapped gently on the shoulder

Limerick Lol
"Hey just give me a minute to level my locks"
She told her husband who was playing a groan box
                                    He stopped his harmonics
                                    And changed his tectonics
Used histrionics "you are running out of clocks"...

Time abides
              the exuberance of youth

Revels
         in hormonal histrionics

Settles
         into a relationship

Endures
         Love's fever and frost

Meanders
         through its moments

Embraces
           it's partners
                           in life's final dance

Attention Seeking Disorder With Histrionics
In a world where silence screams,
Attention seeks your every night and day.
Triggers lurk in screens turned white,
Flickering lights an endless sight.

Likes and shares, currency prized,
Validation sought, a dead end road.
In every utterance, a plea unseen,
For hearts and eyes, search endlessly.

Amidst the noise, a whisper groans,
No peace within, where this attention turned....

People come, and people go Poets are just the same you know But what decides to where Poets travel Please be free to say and unravel Is it down to a desire to move on Or take the huff and say it's not for I Mm, maybe it's about histrionics Leading to behaviour becoming chronic Well then, shall we share and spill the beans Boycott to detention with a slap on the wrist For if whomever fails, be read to has been And miss the ass they've always kissed
