End The Histrionics

People, people, think it through,
the world should have ended
according to you.

This climate change hysteria
has you acting insane,
you've tried to convince us
with your crazy campaign.

Of course there are changes
our planet goes thru,
but an apocalyptic end
just doesn't ring true.

So calm down your nerves
and put to rest your fears
the Earth will be just fine
for another million years!

Mark, yes the Earth should be here for several billion more years. However, it's a fair question to ask if our species will be. You may be aware there have been 5 major extinctions throughout previous history as documented by fossil evidence. We're pretty smart and have tools, so perhaps we will figure out how to deal with the changes that we face. Let's hope so, but the jury will be out for some time-Hopefully a long time-lol. Smiles!!

Duke, thank you for sharing your opinion! What is objectionable to me is the hysteria and prognostication of our impending doom, which in turn results in propagating unrealistic fears in those who are easily swayed by such nonsense! As far as the extinctions, yes factual, not the result of the human species actions or behavior.

I can totally identify with your poem. Loved the title 'Histronics.' I say, stop the hysterics! Sane people are not listening anymore

Sara thanks for checking in! I know there are many who are concerned with our planet's health, and that's good, but the amount of times that I've heard the predictions of our planets demise, going back years, makes me nauseous!!
