Premium Member A Lock of Hair

A lock of hair
  A torn shoe string
A rocking chair
  A wedding ring

A dial phone
  A worn headband
A xylophone
  An old night stand

A broken piece, a little bit
  of what has passed
No longer fits
  ~ Their memories last

Wii Tennis

hands flying around tv monitors.
playing tennis, feeling like john mcenroe
with my headband on and nintendo
 remote in hand.

coffee tabled comentators
add to the suspense, break point,
mental note play to his backhand
and dont trip over the couch.

Gave Shark catnip and he turned into a hippie
Took me straight back to the seventies
Put on his fur vest and fringed headband
Made the peace sign with his paws
Became morbidly mellow
Docile, chilled, rolled onto his back
Soaked up the sun with his tongue hanging out
A happy addict
cat

Just gotta have it
                                 my red polka dot headband
                                         It fits my image
                                   the beauty without Botox
A little sweet kiss to you

I am a flower when you are two.
When you are four, you make headband chains out of me,
Using my stems, which have a pungent smell.
At five you are told I am a weed; a death word to me.
You don’t care. You still love me.
You especially love the way you can blow my crown
Off in frilly wispy white flakes
after my yellow crown
Turns white.
You still love me
until you grow up,
And maybe later,
Some of you.

Modern Hippie

I am a leather-wearing
Lipstick-bearing
Coffee-drinking
3-purse-carrying
Cleptomaniac spiralling
Modern hippie.
Don’t shoot my eye out for it,
My desire’s to stay in one place,
Let me live in peace,
A peace like the 70s
For there’s no peace like tumult.
There’s no ice cream
Like july 25th 1991.
I’m a headband-porting
Christmas-worshipper
From times past,
Good times, bad times,
There’s not time but
	The present
All other times are past.
