Wonder About Walmart

Plumbing problems in several a nightmare,
closing stores for 6 months which is rare,
gutting them out,
security abound,
shoppers unprepared and downright scared.

Gloom

Olden wordsmiths surely got it right,
one syllable to express the pain,
foggy heaviness clenching lungs,
razor-sharp edge gutting cleanly,
spear point piercing leaden heart,
weary shoulders, arms drooping
and all because of sudden rejection.

Premium Member A predator came calling

We forgot to close the coop and a
predator came calling.
We became entangled by his loop
and now the government he's uphauling.
We let a nemesis on the premises,
so billionaires he's installing..
Slashing and gutting Federal agencies.
What will survive this mauling?
The chaos and the casualties,
so tragic and appalling..

Naked witchlings rooted in my head
While the sun was sleeping under my bed
Counting their fingers, scribbling spells
Burning candles, ringing bells
Killing cats and gutting rats
Reading runes and epithets
Did I say they were naked
There is that....
they've been a thousand lifetimes getting here
I'll give them a thousand more
To get out of my hair

We glued our hearts to the breaking news
the devastation, bone gutting bruise
bloated water to ignite the black death
we waited for the gulf to get over her wrath
And now, the dance's begun again
(the gulf takes jealous big sister's hand)
We watch helpless, sick from our organs within
We watch as the spinning of fury begins...
