A Real Traffic Flop
I CAN"T find my way from bottom to top
No sense of direction, a real traffic flop
Technology tries
Yet still, it defies
For me, GPS means Give up, Please and Stop...

Gps Seductions
A sultry voice gave directions.
Wrong turn, then came the corrections.
A panic attack –
Screams came from the back.
“We're lost; where are the connections?”

Grace
The farther I get from religion
the closer I get to God
Clouds blown free—new imagery
a seed in Heaven’s pod

The farther I get from the papal bull
the closer His voice I hear
Grace so blessed—divine GPS
directions loud and clear

Premium Member Rudolph Grounded For Fear of Flying
Who will navigate Santa's sleigh tonight,

Since Rudolph was grounded for fear of flight?

      He can't rely on Prancer,

And has no faith in Dancer.

(He'll use GPS to solve his plight!)

Oh Brother Jim
Oh brother
You are my caring brother by the way
So near and dear
So good to have you back close again
After all these years
I can rely on you for sound advice
Now I finally think you are smarter than me
You are an army brat
You always use your GPS
I am so honored to be your sister...

Heads Up
When driving, we use WAZE, which is
A talking GPS.
It finds the quickest routes and thus
Eliminates some stress.

At times, it issues warnings
Like an "obstacle on road,"
So we'll both be on the lookout
To avoid our being towed.

But it took a while to realize
That an "animal ahead"
Won't leap out to cause some damage;
It's already stone cold dead!...

Premium Member Fishing
From the dock, our boat speeds off
Into a channel to the calm Gulf of Mexico waters
Stopping when the GPS identifies our favorite reef
Hoping to catch a tasty treat, we cast with anticipation
It’s not until sundown when fish start to hit
Nibbling at our bait in a frenzy until finally
Grouper is on our dinner plate!

Drive
From the Penthouse to the Outhouse, all places between;
We ran from ourselves to the end of our means.

We saddled a horse that turned out to be wild
And slept in the tree fort of our inner most child.

Threw caution to wind, blew here and elsewhere
Without GPS on a wing and a prayer.

The landing was rough till we put on the brake
And let someone else steer for sanity’s sake....

Premium Member Naming Names
If you hailed from South Dakota,
And someone asked you, "Where you from?"
You wouldn’t simply say, “Uh, Dakota.”
And if you grew up in the hills of West Virginia,
You’d never be inclined to just reply, “Oh, I’m from Virginia.”
But if your mind is going to Carolina,
And you knew James Taylor’s home address,
It doesn’t matter whether North or South,
You’ll navigate your way by GPS....

How Far?
I use my GPS to find my way to you
Please let this love be true

Left, right or keep straight
GPS tells me which roads to take

Each mile gone brings me closer to you
I watch as the sun changes its hue

My heart fills with anticipation
"Take the exit right, go straight on. You have reached your destination."

747 miles, 12 hours alone in my car
It was love that brought me this far....

Dating, in many ways,
is sort of like driving –
one comes to an intersection...
there is a red and green,
caution yellow for Slow
Down!~ Do you have a
license?-- Frankly, at my
my age, I better like those
often ticketed and well
traveled...myself, no-longer
feeling time nor patience to
teach~ not willing to trust
my heart to modern GPS,
still preferring the twinkles
of stars.......

Undone By Gps
I stand in a corner
with a flickering soul
reminiscent of a sentinel
standing apt in a full armor suit,
now rusting at the seams,
Like an abandoned lighthouse
on a deserted isle
with a whirling glowing eye
scouring the choppy water
for the lost souls
amid gathering fog
and a foreboding storm.

No sirens of the sea
have sung in recent times
to lure those lost at sea
to their rocky coast....

Too Far Gone
I'm too far gone, lost in this space
heading into darkness
no point turning back
the sun has faded away
the moon is closer to me
and it is oh so beautiful
the prettiest light I've ever seen

as I fall off the radar
no longer a blip on the screen
there are no maps to save me
or GPS it seems
but I'm not turning back
I'll find my way in the dark
and when you take my hand
I know I've hit my mark...
