Nature’s flower bed....
Gondolas where falcons tread
Fire burst overhead
For S K A T's contest
The tree
balancing the
branches and fruits
so alluringly
You are in
tremendous glee
no wrinkles anywhere
dimples so prominent
those jingling ankles
I will wait for gondolas
under the stars
tonight
The wet snow becomes slush,
and turning into rain...
makes all the pines weep
as people in grief.
Long barges glide
like gondolas
in Venice,
but no song
is sung
today
to
love.

Mysterious masks.
Motives suspected.
Whispered invitation.
Dance confirms intentions.
Low hanging Venetian fog
floats through narrow streets.
Distant music from St Mark's Square
drifts to rooms above.
Feelings unmasked.
Gondolas rock softly.
The snow becomes slush
its whiteness is gone,
it turns into rain
as people in grief.
Passing sails glide
like gondolas
in old Venice,
no lover sings.
Can sunset
bring surprise,
happiness...
with real hope?
Gladness
isn't found
here.
I have never been the same,
after watching, the abandoned
moon, rising gracefully,
and becoming secular. There
were no words, no speech;
but a biological war had
started between the shadows,
like gondolas in the air.
You unexpectedly turn blue.
Somebody had left the bloody footprints.

Venetian lacy, black masks with feathery eyes
Others gilded in gold leaf and sequinned gems
Come gliding in gondolas to disguise
Obsequiously they dip and bowing bend
St Mark's Square is the meeting place to parade
Stately in silken ball gowns and evening dress
Mask Contest and new acquaintances made
Greet three million visitors more or less
delectable dolphins
dancing here
near harbor
Instead of gondolas
white swans float
like the boats
Animals,puff
healthily, gallivant
without tumult
A little bird's chirp
outreaches our ears
piercingly
A single word
has made crucial changes
across the world
And some creatures
are happy about it
and a few are not
We, the humans
are just like other creatures
before nature, the creator
Regrettably,
we pay a lot
to fathom the bitter fact
