Little Rock's Florence Price
burst he glass ceiling which was nice
A committed Christian as well
with music she did forth-tell
Jane could ride
Jane could shoot and fire,
Dressing in men's attire,
Through her glass ceiling broke free-
Labelled..then..a calamity.
Red heels clicking away,
a woman who has a sway,
she made it to the glass ceiling,
power is what she is feeling,
her importance is reeling.
Sarah Biffen artist extraordinaire
surpassed limitations sans a care
With ease she broke the glass ceiling
exquisite miniatures were her thing
Angeica Kauffmann came to England
with paint brush in each hand
Through the art glass ceiling she did seek
with equisite talent she reached that peak
Sixty-five million
Broken hearts shattered, not glass--
The glass ceiling waits.

milky sky
shadows of blue
melding in and out
poured onto a glass ceiling
oozing into flowing sky rivers
gentle transmogrifications
her lazy moves
encourage me
to sleep
BREAKING THE GLASS CEILING
Deborah,God annointed Judge&Prophetess
a matriarch,overseer of men,..no less;
Mary,at Jesus feet,studied...just as a man
in Christ there is no gender ban
A woman in a man's world was Artemiia Gentileschi
broke the glass ceiling to be free
She much to her famous pa did owe
but in her day ploughed her own furrow

Life is Built
Open Terrace is made of Love and Dream.
Destiny is the Glass- Ceiling.
Emotion and Passion have done painting
Frustration is the door to escape.

I am selling my sole for material wishes
I see him but can’t get there
I know he’s there but don’t understand why
Like a glass ceiling to heaven
I try but not hard enough
One day he will fulfill my life and help me cope
Expressions of the abstract,
Thoughts we can't retract,
Exquisite solar towers
of our mindful powers,
Into the glass ceiling,
Collectives of ideas and feelings,
Whence these expressions of abstract?
Thoughts we can't retract......
Knocked down a pervasive glass ceiling
And left the racist bigots reeling,
Meteoric rise to Vice-Presidency
And the praise for her ascendency
Lets little girls know the sky is the limit
And, in America, that is the prevailing spirit.
Sophie Arp a multi-talented Swiss miss
won over her famous husband Hans, with a kiss
equally famous, now it may be said
for on fifty-franc note appears her sweet lips &head*
* the only Swiss woman to have been so honoured with such a glass-ceiling moment
Lee bridged the race divide
when prejudice had nowhere to hide-
Riding a mustang in the sky
His deeds gave bigotry the lie,
sterotyping his,to defy.

I can't cope with copacetic,
A life of compromise seems to me pathetic,
Without completing dreams, I can't gauge my worth,
So with arms raised high, Eyes shut, I fly out to mirth,
I find myself flattened quickly against a glass ceiling,
Now a budding career in retail seems appealing.
Retirement offers things new
I'm shouting a hip-hip yahoo
If what you’re feeling
Comes from a glass ceiling
Stop squealing and just say I'm through!
Retirement offers a lift
With no bad-ass boss who gets miffed
Since freedom will ring
The songs that I’ll sing
Sound more like those by Taylor Swift
They say dream big and have lofty dreams
The inspirational gurus that is
Well, some people in America think it is a caste system
And some people believe in the American dream
Either way I think you have to work your butt off
I am a dreamer, a day dreamer
And a hard worker
Clawing my way to the top
In order to break through the glass ceiling

Who made me realize that
I alone am master of my destiny
Who showed me strength, gentleness
And the power of determination
Who challenged me to reach beyond
For all the treasures of within
Who taught me life is a playground and
Living means a thirst to experiment
Thank you for having enriched my life
Each in your own unique ways
