Premium Member Because Of You

You boast, saying:
All good happened
Happened
Because of you...
I test you, querying:
Have
All good happened
Gladdened you?

Katie Sings Liberally

I have to say my heart was gladdened
When I heard Katie Melua sing
China has obviously come a long way
If there are 9 million bisexuals in Beijing

Berthe Morisots -The cradle

veiled innocence
gazing charm

     rich rewarding
     motherhood

watching aware
unaware

    surprising calm
    gladdened too

receipt of pain
gift from Lord

     'The cradle' -
     rocks any mother

Nature

Nature is bestowed with diversity
A diversity which has certainty
The sun shines and the birds sing
And the orioles fly with golden wings
The tree grows and fruits ripen
And the children eat them with their hearts gladdened.

Ocean Evening

From out of the fog
  in the brisk, chill wind,
    a fine drizzle has started
  to softly drench the deck
of my swaying boat;

and I'm gladdened
by the moisture of the mist
    touching my feverish cheeks,
  salty, sultry pleasures,
ocean evening, afloat.

Premium Member Kind Words

Words of concern, genuine and apt,
Like rays from heaven, radiant and bright
Penetrate the gloom of many a heart
Peace and joy to troubled men impart
Help them brave the weary day
Leaving them gladdened all the way

The Almighty

Kindness the Almighty showers,
In the form of gladdened flowers ,
Sea of love he oars through,
Unto us, the treasure of blessings he pours too!

His creations bedeck every land,
An unending hope he rays out of his palm,
World is submerged into the pupil of his eye,
He decides the destiny and rolls the die !

Tears of the Heart (Naani)

(Naani-Expression of one and all)

A tearful heart mourns,
In dire circumstances.
Yet, the same heart when gladdened
Shall shed joyful tears...

[The Naani is one of India's most popular Telugu poetic forms, consiting of 4 lines and
a 20 to 25 syllabic count. It is not bound to a particular subject. Generally, it
depends upon human relations and current statements.]

Premium Member Consider the Lilies

A wise man once said, “Consider the lilies,” Exquisite white blooms beckoning spring In splendor atop their long green stalks, The lilies make our gladdened hearts sing. Since God takes care of the lilies, he said, Doesn’t it make sense for us in Him to trust For God loves us much more than the flowers Cultivating our faith in God, we simply must!

This Atlas Grins (For Hannah & Sean)

Riding upon my shoulders,
     innocent glee,
giggling and humming nursery tunes
     blissfully;
they bounce and they dance
     with the purest of joy;
they shriek and they laugh, my toddler
     girl and boy.

And I, like Atlas of old
     mythology,
must carefully carry a fragile
     destiny;
by the world on his back
     he is burdened;
by these kids whom I carry,
     I am gladdened.

Elements Easing

When swift wind is blowing
and birds free breeze the dale
my hopeless heart is lightened
gone the gloomy gale.

When sweet child is playing
and laughs full loud with glee
my mirthless mind is gladdened
gone the sorrowed sea.

When mauve moon is rising
and stars shine through the night
my shadowed soul is brightened
gone the bleary blight.

Premium Member The Torch

Every now and then
appears a torch
a guiding light

This torch inspires
and warms us to the core
its flame encourages

To only a select few
is this power granted
by its light we are nourished

When it appears
our hearts are gladdened
and our souls truly inspired

Long may the flame burn
filling up empty spaces
removing the darkness

Gather close yet even closer
its flame will not burn you
long may you be incandescent
