The Agony

Your organs are failing
Like the sun going down
But you're hovering at 4 o' clock
Prolonging the day
Best to get on with it
To a new day dawning

"Go in a haste. Come in a pace". Mary Coleman

She was saying, 'Get on with it'.
She was saying, 'Be a pacesetter'.
It's what my grandmother often said.

Mother's Day

I thought of you this morning Ma, as I do most every day.
I miss the crazy things you did, your laughter and your way.

Your sunny disposition, your optimistic light.
Remembering the songs you used to sing to us at night....zzzz

And now I must, "Get on with it", as you would like to say.
Just had to say I Love You, because it's Mothers Day.

Lets Get On With It

Whoever knew

That New Year was the clue
To make life better for me and you
Then try to work it out for all mankind too

So, I really do hope we all follow the cue
That's you and me and them and you
As it's our time now for sorting the poo
And if that doesn't happen we all lose

So I will have to bite my own tongue
As my work may already be done..

But I haven't started yet!
So lets all get on with it..

The Sound of No Comments

Aha! I had enlightenment today.
Feeling now like a smiling Buddha at play!
No matter what I write, it does
not mean a whip if nobody reads
it or comments.
Unless poetry is defined as
popularity?
Best to move on, enjoy life to
the max and get on with it.
And as for silence to my
poetry?
Now dedicated to fully enjoy it.

I'M Writing You Off

We're done for now I hope you see.
You're left field antics aren't for me.
The more you write the more I'm bored.
I truly do not understand, Good Lord!

The more I think, the more I feel.
What we have shared does not feel real.
When egos' search for reassurance.
You better have some good insurance.

The time has come and now we're through.
I'd get on with it if I were you.

For P. D.'s I'm breaking up with you contest. Love you P. D. :)

Prisoners of Time

We are born when we are born.
We look around and see what we see.
We then get on with it.
We deal with what we have.
This was true for those born one thousand years ago.
It is true today.
It will be true for those born one thousand years from now.
The time we’re born into is unique, we behave as those in our
time behave, we relate to what our time offers.
We’d behave differently in different times.
We are trapped in and are prisoners of our time.

Premium Member Conversation In the Woods

In the woods I asked a pigeon, If it minded that we talk and listen; Came the reply, from up on high, Yes, let’s get on with it, nigh. He was as curious about me, As I was about he. We did chat for hours, in fact, It was mostly about cats. He seemed to think it a pity, too, That from cats, I never flew; But I told him we get along; That he viewed cats all wrong. Offended, glanced he, at my eyes And quickly flew away from my side.

The Virus

It is time to look within yourself
To see what is inside as your wealth
Remember what it took to get you here
All the lessons learnt and the heartaches felt so clear

You can hurt people with a remark
When people take the words to heart
So now we are exposed to everything
It can be so hard for your soul to sing

So in this task that is set us
We can make of it such a fuss
Or just get on with it and not complain
Just know we all are in it all the same.
