Messiah
Betrayed for thirty pieces
Of silver
Mocked, spat upon
Flogged and crucified,
How Messiah suffered and died.

The Letter
To my son
I sorry for my action
I wish never happen
I sorry for pain to you
For which you see
I wish never done
I sorry my son
For I luve you

The truth
Set free me
My action
Was the man
For which I just flogged

No more
For he to

Yesterday
Yesterday was with us
Yesterday is like a
Digested food that
We ate last night
They told us that
Teachers are light
The learners are their
Evidence their light
Yesterday I was flogged
As a child by my mother
for me to be better today
Yesterday was my past
Today is my present...

The Twins
They grow so alike
In form and features, face and limb
Both looks tall and slim
They are john and mike

It puzzled kith and kin
Not a soul knows which
But waits on nature to teach
Which is which among the twin

This fatal likeness of two brother
When there is an offence
causes confusion and argument,hence
one is mistakenly flogged for another...

The Cost of Failure
The Cost of Failure

I try my best to do a thing,
and when I fail to reach my target by a little bit,
I am flogged in the street like a mangey mutt,
               by my love, so sweet?

Sometimes we all fall a little short,
that does not mean the mission I abort,
to my goal, I slog along,
even though the treatment I receive is wrong....

Help Is Dead
I'm by myself,
I've cried long for help
Ears listen,
But, Hands shortened
Help here is like a red moon

My pottery plate is empty
I see people eating plenty
And gave my plate for an offering
That would appease my suffering
Help here is a taboo

My raiment is tattered
I see many on the ground scattered
I bent to take one, eh! The owner came
Thief, thief thief, she flogged me cane
Help here is dead...

Silence In the Din
I am but a living corpse,
Emaciated and flogged horse.

See no light at the end of the tunnel,
Seek poetry as a channel to funnel.

Slogging all my life for everyone but me,
Such a painful responsibility you see.

Lady luck even refuses to give an appointment,
Lament do I in deep disappointment.

Death is not a solution,
Don't let cowardice get from me ammunition.

Need to look deep within,
Need to find silence in the din....

With My Apologies To Ogden Nash
The Following is the poem "Lama" by Ogden Nash

The one l - lama
He's a priest.
The two l - llama
He's a beast.
And I will bet
A silk pajama
There isn't any
Three - L lllama.

My version of the lines Nash missed.

But Mr. Nash
I must insist
On an addition
To your list.
The three l - lllama's
Clang and din
Brings cries of “Fire!”
In Brooklyn.

Yes I should be publicly flogged in a poetry forum! An old joke but still a good one....

What I Would Love To Tell Susan
I think of you often
Truthfully
More often than I should
And even after all these years
Have flogged myself
Many times over
For ever being as stupid as I was
To let you go
I would love to tell you
That life has been kind
That things are well
That there is love in my life
I would love to tell you
That I am well
That all my dreams and ambitions
Have come true
And that I am happy
Yes...
That is
What I would love
To tell you...

Surrendered
You can't from the well-guarded escape.
It should be a wonder mouths to gape,
Each warder to think self big Ape;
Maximum security Rape!

You dare not from the prison escape;
All days, after recapture, Grape,
Warders familiar with the landscape;
The things you say, your plans, your cough tape...

Gosh! I can see them all your hairs scrape,
In prickly clothes your flogged body drape
And sweat cause to break out on your nape
You don't when surrendered escape...
