Premium Member Butterflies In Her Garden
Butterflies flit around her garden
Landing a midget of a second.
Startled by every movement

Dashing away at all sounds.
Quivering with excitement.
Beautifying the lilacs,
Sprinkling themselves among the zinnias.

Savoring the knock-out roses.
Increasing the aura of the garden
Whispering their sincerity in butterfly flitters....

As the Snow Flitters Down
As the snow flitters down,
time seperates to reveal your beauteous face ---
So for one moment I stand transfixed ---
In the distance, I hear the cry of a falcon ---
Sailing above me,
I see it has a field mouse ---
Flying out of view,
I can imagine my own life paraleling
this tiny rodent's ---
As destiny, like the falcon,
brings me to my ultimate fate....

Kevina
Behind the elaborate mask I wear
You are a tempting sample of wine
Beauty to behold, your face serious
With a dazzling smile, girlish delight,
With the most enchanting looks
that would melt the coldest of hearts
You are exquisite, warm, beguilingly innocent
The list is endless...
When I see you now,my heart flitters
and now more than ever,
I crave for your glowing angelic presence
Happy Birthday!!...

Inside Me Was the Stillness
Woven, high between bare branches
rooks nest gather where new growth sprouts
amidst the stillness inside me.

A tiny blue tit twittering,
flitters towards a coconut,
feeding the stillness inside me

The sky, open, glistening blue,
white clouds sailing, a seagull soaring,
through the stillness inside me.

A purple pansy perfect as the stillness inside me
until ............
people came
knocking, ringing, wanting
Then the stillness was gone....

Winter's Lull
The weather changes,
with cool breezes flowing through,
Suddenly everywhere becomes desolate
on cue,

Hints of the holidays hover through the
dismal days,
The excitement builds up,
then gently flitters away,

After the festivities,
it will only be more
bland Autumn days,
with trees standing
as scarecrows do
in the cornfields,
and chimneys burning
to create Currier and Ives scenes,

While emotions feel betwixt and between,
thinking that warm sunshine solves everything....

Carefully we planned for the big day
Oblique qualms and doubts drove me away
Moody and thoughtless insensitivity
Maudlin thoughts curbed the festivity
Onerous thoughts like small transmitters
Now revealed my flutters and flitters
Ashamed, you admitted you had the jitters
Laughingly we both had learned
Intimacy shared is intimacy earned
Treasuring our love, our life unknown
You and I, together we’ve grown....
