Butterflies In Her Garden

Butterflies flit around her garden Landing a midget of a second. Startled by every movement Dashing away at all sounds. Quivering with excitement. Beautifying the lilacs, Sprinkling themselves among the zinnias. Savoring the knock-out roses. Increasing the aura of the garden Whispering their sincerity in butterfly flitters.

Thank you for this great poem! As it so reminds me of our mother, now gone two years. She dearly loved her garden , its colorful flowers and bright, flying butterflies.. A fav.. a glowing gem to me.

You are welcome. I am honored, being a garden queen in the summer time. When I was a child if you did not garden four hours in the morning, you did not swim in the afternoon. I had no idea how GREEN my thumb was until I began planting yards and gardens. I am so into this stuff butterflies and dragonflies light on me.

I can see those beautiful butterflies as I read your sweet poem on a grey rainy day in the UK. It is bringing summer to mind and has really lifted me Caren - thanks, with kindest thoughts Ann xx

We need summer here today, Ann. It is a mere fifteen degrees, but with the windchill it FEELS like ten degrees below zero.
