Night
Nights shimmering eyes,
Flinching tail, knocks down trash cans,
Plays on cobblestones....

Nightmare fuel
Just turned 22
Six years flinching at you
Six years of you leaving me blue
Our love is an engine
And it runs on nightmare fuel...

Getting Closer
I peel back
one layer after another,
getting closer to
something I can feel
flinching as I lift off
each cover.
I do it almost every day,
layer upon layer,
day after day,
getting closer, yet
always one day away...

Buggy Summer
Buggy Summer
Mosquitos, bugs
Small, tiny, mini, macro
fly, crawl, bite, hug
causing itching, me flinching.
Summer in buggy grammar.

Silent Fight
I keep an eye out,
for her to clue in.
Open to watching, instead
preachy explanation.
But months have been lost,
to a standard doubled,
Because of my member.
Of course I question her words,
when chaos is pointed,
with me flinching.
(for Matt's contest was made in 45 seconds the phone rang, which ended it lol)...

Abrupt
Irkish the feeling impels
Impulsive of it's own action.
Disfigurely quenching,
And on it's feet it commands
A riot so clenching
Flinching the heart's
Utmost fibres none can comprehend.
"Xeno" it calls aloud
For it looks in it's shadows.
Perkish, yet Meek, and sleek
As it sneeks around alert for
It's next prey to be caged....

The Jewish Nation
Has Islam a demands
for its followers where death
itself has a meaning
Never have we seen a people
like the Palestinians, in Gaza
taking on suffering without
flinching, what happens is in
the name of Allah
While modern Israel, suffers
a fear of the violence she has
orchestrated sinks into apathy
and leave the promised land

Nocturnal Nymph Moaning
bounty boobs blushing
fiddling fingers flinching
eerie emotions fostering
damped desires drooling
locked legs lurching
callous zeal crumbling
mystic moans melting
locked lips fiddling
halted! Then continuity
nocturnal nymph moaning
nimbling lips dripping
nectar of nosing
satyr salient flow
house's an home.

Babble
No more to dance, no more to shine,
A clown down, on the foreign round.
Lost in the laughing trafficked city.
Tongues of pity now broken, now
Regretful of the truths hard spoken.
Flinching from stilleto'd eyes,
Solace sought in the lies screaming
From the pasted signs. Only
Here, hid among the blinded dragons,
Is there peace, my shattered sister.
Rest, lay down your blistered soul....

Moon Face Stares Perpetual
The moon's face is transfixed,
spellbound, staring, stupefied;
never blinking, never flinching
never looking away.
For Earth has locked the near side of the moon,
to forever face us.
It has locked the far, dark side,
to forever face away,
never to look upon us, never for us to see.
The moon's stare is perpetual, habitual, perceptual,
inescapable and unshakable;
always there, forever watching what we do....

Divorce
I stopped explaining.
Stopped folding notes into doves.
Lit matches—
not out of anger,
just to see what would burn
and what would follow.
Held the line.
Held it higher.
Watched him trip
and told myself
that’s not my fault.
I sleep well.
I eat better.
I say no without flinching.
But lately
when someone walks away,
they look at me
like I’m the story
they’ll tell
about good people
gone wrong....

Cold
Broken windows and broken homes
Windblown excuses
Shattered bones
Clotted carpet and pulled hair
Knotted eyes, flinching dares
Children scared
Praying and weeping
Mommy’s bleeding
Kicking and screaming
Ruptured lips and clenched fists
Nails screeching, paint pleading
Please! Stop! What did I do?
Shut up, b-tch! I thought I told you!
Daddy, no! Hit me! Leave mommy alone!
It was my fault...your dinner was cold...

Dramatic Monologue
Waiting So Long
Here I am on the phone
Wincing and flinching
Put forever on hold
Listening to old music
That’s oh so loud
Feeling like an elevator
About to explode
Banging piano, is Liberace back?
I think my head is about to crack
Waiting, returning and waiting again
My stares zooming out into oblivion
My head is spinning, my shoulders hurt
But I can’t hang up, I’m so inert
I fear I’ll be rude and spitefully curt
Here I am on the phone....

Clearing Ice
Mammoth cold this morning.
There’s been an ice-storm.
Creaking and walking
boots talking
shovel in heavy hand.
Robins pounce on frozen worms.
The wide spade
snatches at the frozen turf,
its red plastic mouth scooping up
small glacial heaps.
Soon I tire, soon I sag,
flinching beneath the wind's frigid lash.
I throw the shovel down,
defeated -
going to toss bird seed,
feed those robins,
maybe save the life
of a few stiff worms,
make hot cocoa.

She Goads Me
You insist on arguing.
I am silent.
You goad me.
My cheeks are flinching, but you do not notice.
You attack me.
I nod my head.
Not saying anything.
I can play this game all day, longer than you maybe.
You try another tact.
I would walk away if you were not my friend and my cousin.
So I stay and try to change the subject to something pleasant.
You keep your tirade going.
I finally say good bye.
As a last resort you attack one of my children.
It’s on now….....

Silly Me
I dressed in a funny hat,
on a banjo I did sat
strings were flinching from beneath
it held my rear, just like a wreath.
What is funny, I did ask
on your rear, a banjo mask
oh, my heavens up above
it fit my rear, just like a glove.
I turned and made a silly face,
and felt a little out of place
what I did, is already done
might as well, have some fun
Silly me, just like a clown
to wear a banjo, as a gown
say adios, to another day
get unstuck, and walk away.
