Limerick: Once a Barrister hired a Spinster
Once a Barrister hired a Spinster
To work his pump short of a sphincter
She bought piston and nuts
Fixed up the leaking guts
Then Spinster married Barrister’s sister.

Grandma’s button box and first aid kit were both mainstays in the kitchen.
We knew she had everything to help us if we were hurting or itch'n.
If we tore up our pants, got poison ivy or ripped a button off our coat,
She could have us fixed up in seconds, and then milk a cow or a goat.

Because of a tiny glitch
Inside a wet south side ditch
A minuscule germ, Mitch
Had an incredible itch
His voice had an uphill pitch
With a lilt that was rich
His oldest friend named Fritz
Told me that Mitch was a ditz
Mitch and Fritz fixed up the ditch
It attracted a whacky witch
Whose sense of humor with a stitch
Delighted the deliriously decorated ditch

A sigh needs a lifetime to be felt,
Who could survive till your curls are fixed up.
- Ghalib -
With pregnant sail I float
On the sea of your eyes.
I try to forget you,
But my heart beats with your sighs.
I try to remember you,
But memory dies with your words.
On the silk edge of your moan's sword,
My soul wants to bleed again,
But for the winds.
I am destined to shipwrecks.

I do not know?
This is how it goes
How I look at the past and compare to how it is now
So where should we start
The times you took me apart?
Or when you left me there with a bleeding heart
Doesn't matter now this girl is a piece of art
Maybe how you didn't give a clue
How I wore my red new Valentino shoes
Fixed up my hair and stayed up waiting for you
Here's some news for you bamboo
I found somebody worth coming home to
Don't bother me now
I'm writing my wedding vows
