The Artist

Wide eyes cast their gaze upward
    ‘Today’s Spider Web’ mocks him

Eight spindly filaments weave a web
Are these hands not as delicately bred

Opaque Hours a Structured Enigma

Blurred distortions,smeared stirrings
put aside to make an extract in
filaments of primal abstractions.
Restless movements dripping,drop
by drop into pure fields of bliss

Bits N Pieces

  In the shadow
  Where all the pieces be
  Laid out
  For the world to see
  Connected parts of thought
  Filaments joined tenuously
  Bits created
  Flightiness

Turntable of Despair

bound and tethered
held strong with grievous filaments
i struggled not
feeling the futility
and the masterful illusion of my jaundiced mind
she holds me captive
on the turntable of despair

Parachutes

A family picnic outing on the lawn,
Granny’s hair like dandelions in sun –
silver filaments, a childhood toy.
A puff of breath, the seedlets fly
the way the morning’s breeze has gone.
Memories wind-borne on the sky.

Universal Haiku

patterns of matter -
galactic filaments play
follow the leader

gravity's dark wells -
black holes, leaking infrared,
can't keep a secret

"play it again Sam -"
starry exodus gains speed
cosmos self-defined

Keepsake

The wind from the south,
as rich as whispered voices,
nudges my heartstrings to roam
those timeworn keepsake places;
espying aged filaments of true hope,
numbered and nearly as delicate
as a man hungering
for the once familiar perfume
of old-fashioned hymns.

A Lifetime of Joy

When you and I were one, A lifetime of joy cached, Us dancing neath the sun With passion unabashed, Fond filaments finespun, Golden memories stashed.

Absolute Limen

We sit in the back
against the forest in April
at the border of Spring. She is
still sad as the dusk gathers
and will probably remain so.
I watch the filaments
in the trees get finer,
uncountable threads of shadow,
nets of shadow, lace, and the
catching webs of vine,
thinner and finer until we
fall into darkness.

The Unsupervised Stop Sign

The traffic, always busy,
Seemingly streams smoothly
Slithering through unsupervised
Synaptic stop signs,
Thoughts colliding with ideas
Arriving at synchronistic solutions
Within the cranial carnival side show
High fiving the flirtatious filaments
Of belief’s flickering flames
The carnage of conscience
Waiting for the light to change.

Life On the Edge

life on the edge
of a thread
suspended from a network
of interlocking filaments
bound by triangulated interstices
woven by a master of deception
integrated into his lair
lying in wait
patient vigilant and aware
of what disturbs motion
intersects light
ever ready to ensnare the unaware
who venture into the transparent maze
suspended mid-air

Ensnared

Listen to poem:
(Another childhood poem.)

Filaments tightly woven,

a chrysalis cradles me,

deflects the dangers;

it is an armored womb,

bright and hard.

Loosely woven,

a web imprisons me;

struggles snare me firmly

in these threads.

What weaves this armor

and this trap?

It is I --

I am the spider,

and the potential

butterfly.

RUNNING RACES CRACKING CODES

RUNNING RACES CRACKING CODES

No disgruntled dissonance
between dimensions
sliding down sigils
galaxies of glories
listening to lilies
lyricing to Lilith
flow of filaments
consenting to classify
eyes like echoes
running races
cracking codes so
that Source can
claim His-Her
crystals into
5D carols

A Red Minute Deux

Invested was what seemed like infinity
There I was peering at such iconic symbolism
Indefinite filaments of unprecedented passion ascend
I battle to suppress said ardor though perpetually it heightens
Each time her face shall surface in the sanctuary that comprises my reveries
Sacrificed I am to perish within her sexy, inviting aroma
That illustrates my voracious carnality

Once Familiar Perfume

The wind from the south,
as rich as whispered voices,
nudges my heartstrings to roam
those timeworn keepsake places;
espying aged filaments of true hope,
numbered and nearly as delicate
as a man hungering
for the once familiar perfume
of old-fashioned hymns.

Up and Above

Oh I sit on my moonlit terrace
As the wind whisks with a tender graze,
As the stars burn, oh light-years away
To their silent harmony, I sway.
In the coolness of the night,
In the alluring raven sight,
In my balmy blushing cheek,
I find the peace, I oh so dearly seek!
My soul stretches near and afar;
Thoughts spilling forth from the jar,
Trailing filaments of long entwined
Philosophy of a probing mind.

The Landing

one foot then another
emerges from the capsule

the bloated figure
floats onto the barren crater

each small step creates a new footprint
on the dry beach

he beholds the earth
the fragile ornament
hanging by a fishing line
from the tree of naught

the radio waves crash and crackle
behind the mask

the electric filaments leap
and flash back to Houston
where the men in black-framed glasses
shout for joy.

Gauzy Curtains

Filtering filaments of shouting color
Dancing brilliant motes

Defining sunlight by crowding into invisible shafts
Reflecting hope and brilliance

Revealing resistance with every tiny fragment
Defying gravity to fly the final arc of existence
Catching the sun and revealing an unseen world

That every breath is defined by gauzy curtains of sustenance;
Should we be so dispassionate that we inhale all this
Unknowing

Relativity

A microscopic arachnid tinier than a poppy seed spins diminutive filaments barely visible to the eye; a spiral silk lacework deathtrap for infinitesimal prey strung high between white cornered walls in a microcosmical world. Is its existence more trifling than mine that occupies more space? Perhaps not, in the scheme of things: my universe among the stars is imperceptibly smaller than this occupants’ in my room.

Blinking Lights

Blinking Lights
                      A light shines out loud
                                   Lightening bug fitters shines blinking
                      Caressing the rainbow behind
                                           Element of filaments
                                   As evening dawns passes
Shadows of light over the grasses

Nature

The phenomena’s of nature are nurtured like a mother. She never favors one over another. Although her rose-child may be her comeliest flower she bestowed on sister sibling blooms the sweetest scented perfumes. Her spiders all weave their webs with fine, sticky, silken filaments’ She gives potential prey a way avoiding it with fitting wings and legs. Then there are we who set ourselves apart from her, only to be reminded otherwise.

Ultimatum

At the wind's behest
 At the sun's command
 Swarming worms infest
 Legs and arms and hands

 Flesh from bone undressed
 Withers in the sand
 Denser forms divest
 Of filaments and strands

 As rigid limbs relax
 Bound by sky and land
 Mouth and throat contract
 Chest and brain expand

 Set free by their collapse
 Fulfilled by new demands
 Enshrined as they're enclasped
 By rasping sea and sand

Fireflies of Time

Fragments of moment
paddling swift and frenzy
through layers of present.
Filaments of passing time
wafting in evanescence
to get folded in the memory.

Oh fragile life
you are the remnants
etched in the illusion
squeezing frail reality
from misty ruckus
in mysetrous shade.

Beneath azure sky
On the bank of transience
rest, numerous existence
embedded with myraid dreams
and shed desperate selves
as fireflies hugging flames..

Cactus Dancer

Cactus Dancer

Graceful spider dances on sharp cactus spikes
Spinnerets leave webs of dainty filigree
Each web a masterpiece of sublime delights
Silk filaments wear dews as the moonlight flees
Eight tiny feet twirl over the spiny heights,
On prickly thorns leaves a magic feathery,
Mysterious craftsman spins the intricate
Cobweb sculptures spun in orbs magnificent

Poetry Extended On Wire Similarity

Poetry, extended lines
                 as musical notes
                   on the wires...
                    birds landed
                     in filaments
                       transmitting life...
                       lined poetry
                      guiding the work
                     of the poet...
                    impressive poem
                       composed by
                          blackbirds
                            and swallows... !
