Kim-Chee
Cabbage is pickled in a glass jar with plenty of red pepper. Buried underground, it lies undisturbed as it ferments away. It takes several months of aging before what we have is Korean “kim-chee“.

Omen of Death
darkness again stink of ferments
deserted bottles lonely chairs warm
delirious of the deedings before
dejected flowers plastic unattended

A Riper Day
Like wine,
Poets age with every year

Tattered labels stained,
vintners unclear

Bordeaux, Merlot, or Cabernet,
words mellow in the dark

Where time ferments a riper day
—its richness to impart

(Villanova Pennsylvania: December, 2019)...

Wanky Urge Whooshes - Day 28
wanky urge whooshes
puking rustic rhythm
nauseated by billows
busty ecstasy borrow
generous lust lent
passion prior invested

delicate capillaries crushed
lurched lanky lust
oozes, gores gulped

fostered faith rent
fiery surge ferments
licking lusty test

dark dance drips
from lustful limbs.

As lemonade evaporates in humid haze,

Upbeat, the pollen sway, so sweet the starry buds,

Good times abound for goldenrod with golden locks!

Unwitting sun ferments in glitzy-bitsy blooms,

Seductive nectar, Nature’s bubbly, brews a buzz,

Two tipsy bees in gold-dust slippers tango dance....

She Gave Me Fig Leaf
She gave me fig leaf a new era seemed about to dawn
In the songs of rivulets, before the fawn earth looked on
We trod on new grass, touch of sleek descent
With age-old ferments of fears, years, tears misspent
We moved on, "To be, or not to be: that was the question"....

Mushy Thoughts Merges - Day 21
saucy smoke smirks
gulping gaunt lurch
puking punctured bitumen
blurs bleeding bountifully
filling cloud's peeper
with whooshing phlegm

taunted track clothes
fiery ferments: glows
skate speed blows

voluptuous velocity's vibe
into dances drives
sassy soles thrive

mushy thoughts merges
speed, emotions surge.

Sigh
she sighs
and you can feel
every ounce of sadness
in that single breath
her chest rising with hope
then falling with disappointment
inhaling a wish
exhaling wistful dismay

why does she insist
on hoping so much
when she knows
all that trust
will only bring her torment
her discontent ferments
until all her hope is spent
and every single breath
is a sigh of deep regret...

A Seasons Reign
‘Tis the season with all the scents
Like thistle leaves of pine ferments
Burning logs sweet frankincense

A season of reflective white
whimsical feathered snowy bright
Crystals shape an eyes delight

To treasure kindred interludes
A time of blessed fortitude
questing for in perpetude

Peering through shadow window panes
A glimpse of heaven I do claim
Grasping onto seasons Reign...

Wash Yo Hands and Knead the Dough
SMELL THE KNEADED BREAD
THE SWEET, SWEET BREAD
MIGHT THOSE WHO HUNGER
HUNGER NO MORE
THE YEASTY DOUGH'S
THAT FERMENTS
THE SWEET MOLASSES
THAT SHALL SWIRL WITHIN
KNEAD MY DOUGH'S
AND LET THEM RISE
KNEAD MY DOUGH'S
AND LET THEM RISE
BAKE THEM THAT ALL SHALL
HUNGER NO MORE

THEIR IS A FOUNTAIN FILLED
WITH LOVE
LOOSE ALL THY FITH AND STAINS
THE WATERS OF OF
THE FOUNTAIN MOIST
THEY SOFTEN THE THESE DRIED GROUNDED GRAINS...

Words on the brink
Merge beyond think

Words seem to feel
That touch can heal

Readings ply lines
That feel inclines

Not much to say
In mad array

Joy seeds a frown
When cheer meets clown

Too much of noise
Ferments new voice

Mad verse can teach
Such unknown reach

Prize in bold jest
That awkward test

Readings forge things
From savvy flings

Release
Relieve yourself of those words while you still can,
For words left unsaid may haunt you.
Regret ferments deeper than guilt ever shall,
Fear not what the spilling of the truth entails.
Relieve yourself of these feelings untold,
For such feelings will consume you when left alone.
Even when pain derived of emotion is greater than bodily destruction,
Fear not what you may do to find relief,
For you can carry on through the release of such thoughts and feelings....

The Castle
A bastion behind the thick undergrowth,
Taunts the would be conqueror by its stile,
Formidable gates between wet moat slips;
Shudders with flagrant anticipation;

Predator moves the coveted attack,
Stubborn aggressor with exposed armor,
Ferments turmoil within raging battle calls;
Rigid struggle prevails in the soft torture.

Storming assaults in aristocracy,
Fades resistance to the raw terror,
Unleashed within narrow quivering walls;
Defenses fall to the invaded climax....

Oh! The joy of life when one it seems
wants to climb into a portrait of sentiment,
only then to create a trembling emotion
that completes an insatiable mind,
when one’s image blending with nostalgia
ferments for a moment like a perpetual habit
served up as vintage wine.
To be reconciled with one’s inner self,
the body here now, yet, a mind
locked in another dimension reliving
a fading monochrome print, brought
to life with one’s own vivid anamnesis.
