A mortal's mistake
Ruining the perfect portrait
For the resting head
Fearful heartbeats now echo
A thousand apologies
Disquiet alarm
Sleepless unhappiness
Bored disaffection
Fearful agitation
Despondent hostility
Hysterical loneliness
Falling of dark
Folding a fear in me
Brings rain if it’s
Increasing by another fold
My fear
Not now
But when I was small
Ebony neon woman
Mysteriously beautiful
We stand off in the distance
Admiring, but fearful
Gorgeous is not common around here
I am fearful of the start
and eager for it's end
but I know whatever happens
I can't avoid the inevitable
atlas summer begins
Chaotic romance.
Fearful dreams of war.
Lost in the river.
Wakeful spirit.
Chaotic storms.
Heavy snow falls.
Fate or chance?
Mantis
Verdant, skinny,
Praying, sneaking, planning
Insect, wife, insect, husband
Surviving, hoping, dying,
Fearful, easy,
Prey

Praying, sneaking, planning
Insect, wife, insect, husband
Surviving, hoping, dying,
Fearful, easy,
Prey

she conjured up bubbly brew in her cauldron
fearful of no one, prying eyes did not dare to look
her reputation kept the naysayers at bay
The world is haunted
a virus daunts its victims
undoing voyage
racing minds fearful
afraid to let our soul breathe
challenge of ages
a string of strangers
she lives with daily danger
homicide victim
retired recluse
for years too fearful to leave
made no difference
One’s nerves can strike fear
I freeze in that jail
court ruling from hell
the simplest of sounds
set off the alarm
angst my fixed abode
fate fractures
family fades
footsteps falter
forsaken
fragile
fearful
yet faith fuels
fortifies
frees
fallen, faithful, forward
The orange darkness of night
The deep majestic purple
The blood red crimson fearful
Propose the evening

Fearful passing of…
Responsibility’s angst
Naming another.

Poetic form: Senryu
no eyes are fearful
exposing her pure bareness
when sorrow pours, tears
Poverty
Hateful, fearful
Struggling, toiling, grinding
Office, home, work, library,
Reading, writing, grinding
Cautious, ambitious,
Success
Excitement and joy yet pain
Fearful and so sad yet bliss
A dream to be realised
Boughs bend to the wind
Freddy’s frantic frenzied flashlight feels frazzled.
Forward feelings fearful, frightening Franny’s
frolicking freckled French fried fruit fricassee.
Could I borrow cup of toilet paper?
Asked old gentleman named Mr Saber
Slammed door in face
Without much grace
Not very polite this fearful neighbor
Bodies can be fragile, fickle things.
Fearful of what the future may bring.
A pretty face may be fine in bed
If behind the face, you know the head.
We mourn atop skyscrapers
As our forefathers
Mourned amongst baobab trees in Uganda
Because we have been forsaken,
It is judgment day,
And we’re fearful.
Summer's cool. Sea's conjuror!
The petrel's wing.
Wave, up-frothing.
Til dimly thickens, fearful
Who's pout's threat, shakes
Sky's, the spell breaks.
On spooky table
Lies a dormant skeleton
With his skull lit up
Candy surrounds the body
A great treat for the fearful
