despair knocks the door
hallucinating the mind
tormenting the soul

darkness dispels light 
sinister black shadows loom
unhinging spirit

an evil fiend tempts 
execrable ideas
drowning to abysm

First to the moon
     first to Mars
   We use AI
     to drive our cars

   Carbon-free emissions
     stockpile of munitions
   Our nation's a superpower
     the world, ours to devour

   Before we strike
     here's what we're like ~
   Execrable, ruthless
     wicked, truthless

  One is over-senile
    the other over-penile

  One opens our borders
    the other issues loyalty orders  

  Our execrable Presidential candidates
    presage a once-great country’s fate

  Two utter buffoons America rushes to nominate
    ~ I think on my ballot I’ll regurgitate

     Neither despise any man
        nor detest anything, even in the sand

     For every man has his moment in the sun
       everything a purpose in the long run … 

     Once I thought – but not a cockroach
       execrable bug beyond reproach  

     Yet I've learned from neuroscience podcasters 
       You can Ai-wire ‘em to rescue victims of disasters

M-aking a great difference
I-s so hard to accomplish; 
C-hunk of effort is needed, 
H-oping that it won't diminish.
A-im for a great difference, 
E-radicating the mistake; 
L-et not the momemtum die for the huge chance to take.

S-oar toward great difference, 
A-s your act isn't execrable; 
N-ever be so reluctant
D-oing something suitable.
O-ctober second morn
V-iews the man par excellence; 
A-llowing him to do well, 
L-ike making a great difference.

Fluttering darkness, take wing.
Malignant talons, take life.
Oblivion wings, take light.

Pluck from the shade,
this foul feeling manmade,
without a reason or rhyme.

Execrable expression of earthly emptiness,
Detestable display of dauntless devotion,
Perverse parade of practical pretence,
Irreverent instance of intrepid insurgence.

"Only faith may absolve you"

But "darkness",
launching into freedom's embrace,
need not be forgiven nor freed

The brief flash of a girl hiding in a corner
The Execrable slicing sounds
The copper taste of violence
The sulfuric smell of decaying flesh
The feel cool blade resting on the name of my neck

You run through this maze of white walls
You hear his echoing footsteps
You taste your own fear rising up in you
You feel a burning hatred scorching you
You smell his fear-inducing odor

And all I need is that cool hand at the small of my back
To know that that is not reality that is the past
