I only hope the following eight lines express the depth of my disgust at what we Americans are in the process of doing to ourselves and our country. ~ gw

  One is over-senile
    the other over-penile

  One opens our borders
    the other issues loyalty orders  

  Our execrable Presidential candidates
    presage a once-great country’s fate

  Two utter buffoons America rushes to nominate
    ~ I think on my ballot I’ll regurgitate

A great poem on the state of our political landscape, Gershon. I do not believe our nation will survive another four years of either one of them.

Dear Gershon, Your poem is a scathing, albeit humorous, critique of the political landscape. Though exaggerated, the stark contrast between the candidates exposes potential flaws in a way that makes us think. It's no laughing matter GW BUT I was creased up at over senile and over penile - you summed them up perfectly in the first 2 lines lol. we have our own issues with politicians here too - worst government i have known and there are rumblings of getting rid of our chief minister but is it a case of better the devil you know ! hugs jan xx
