Weal of Fortune
Limelight can burn;it never heals,
no matter fame how good it feels -
succombing to excesses, worse,
resisting not temptation's curse....

so experiential,
multifaceted
       excesses
without

prolific

freeflowing

of
melancholy
   mistakes...

Treasure the Silence
Let the thoughts simmer,
  let the words breathe

Excesses slimmer,
 passions reprieve

Leave the ink arid,
  keep the page clear

Treasure the silence,
—that only you hear

Wind Turbines
Wind Turbines.

I see a bank palace
lit up like a planet of excesses,
the glory of the powerful.
I also see a landscape
littered by a thousand wind turbines
wasted by its wonder and peace
to keep the palace in
the vanity of power...

Waste In The Fire
Trimming fat
off his soul
he searched
for the bone

With every
new slicing
his consciousness
honed

All waste in
the fire
to sizzle
and fry

Excesses
like smoke
rise forgotten
— incised

Llueve Or It Rains
I don't hope for this
sweltering heat to quell
the night to dwell
on the fill of clouds
that it savours
for it's excesses seem to
be the way for it;
no melting, or dissolving of the fire
abundance of me and
enough of everything___
but I hope it rains tonight....

Of Chefs and Dress Designers
They ply themselves to sculpting,
designer gowns, Delmonicos,
those crafty artistes, tasting, trimming.

Excesses to delight the senses,
silks and satins, sauces bearnaise
distinguished by their excellence.

Haute couture or haute cuisine,
they'd grace a page in any
food or fashion magazine!...

Humanities Messes
A lot of the problems we face in our lives
are caused by too many excesses.
The state of things in the world today
cause too much stress and distress us.
Only through Christ and the power of prayer
can we conquer the things that opresses us.
Keep faith in God and trust in His might
    to clean up humanities messes....

My Echo and Sister
ME: Tell me my dear echo
With such garguantan appetite
Is my sister a Dino?
ECHO: No!
ME: How does she spend so much
On wigs and relaxer
ECHO: Ask her
ME: Can I keep up with her excesses?
Can I overcome this pressure?
ECHO: Sure
ME: If only I had a wish
I'll send her to Dreamland
ECHO: And?
And then I'll be happy
when she's so far away...

Letter To Padua
I
Eleven! Quite a figure,
It quakes my memory; spine's strength wanes...
What saying makes this feeling?
For this march, I dare?
For this unwilling cold, I must savour!

                                 II
Aura of love birth familyes
Excesses of spirits, curbed
Cadence that fills the mind
Memories! Sanity? Aye!
For eleven births an end....

who is a winner
Winners and losers

Perhaps Alexander Duggan is right
that winning is everything, thing whatever the cost
I think losing gives a time for reflection
not for bitterness
winning is by itself a loss,
 where to go
a peaceful way, or continue the repression
that follow the winner into excesses
that can't be sated
Is scorched earth an answer?

Share with me
this day,
this night,
what will feed my neighbors
as my hungry self.

Forgive me
my theocratic excesses
as I forgive my ancestors
for arguing anthro-hubrisisms.

Lead me
into Earth's compassion.

Deliver me
into full bicameral consciousness.

For our wealthy bodies
are our healthy minds
eco-political power
as neuro-psychological
co-arising grace....

A Canned Hill of Beans
Pursuing wealth can be a double edged sword to those who blindly seek riches without its own set of principled means.
The capable with excesses to bleed these riches and still not see these riches are not necessarily plighted with an indoctrinated greed
But essentially, they are those who have chosen to live life well enlightened and yet sighted far within their own hill of beans....

REMEMBERING

Age sedates the imperfections of youth
excuses passions and
accommodates inexperience
Yet we heap glory on the culture
of their newly discovered experiments.
Often we tremble to see them go astray
biting away at civilized norms.
But when they reflect our dreams
of hedonistic excesses we smile
and wonder how to recapture the fire
that now simmers; a burnt out ember
of a flaming heart.

SMILE TIME starts early in the morning Can tell by the glow on the horizon A sign it will be another happy day There's no denying the signs We tremble with excitement Like when we were first starting out Hard to imagine a greater enthusiasm Surely at the top of the list Not everyone is ready for SMILE TIME Especially after late night of excesses All in all it's still just one day at a time For two days talk to the administrator

Premium Member Becoming Successful
As a general rule
we are all alike
with our faults and merits
abilities and drawbacks
excesses and deficiencies
talents and ineptitudes

Successful becomes the one
who discovers early his inclination
focus his attention on it
works uninterruptedly
is trained unceasingly and
unconditionally devotes himself to
the advancement of his trade
no matter what his trade
happens to be!

Anger
And anger
Is a friend
That the oppressed
Must seize;
A purgative drug
To cleanse and preserve
The knowledge
And indignation
With which they affront
Agglutinated
The excesses of apartheid!

Come! Behold the scars
That those who angered
Seized- arms outstretched
Their spears flaming!

And you who dither
De-ice your souls
With flames of anger;
And un-reason
Will succumb
To reason!

Hail vanguard
Of our freedom! Hail!

(Poem written for that dark era, happily, now past!)...

Making An Effort Is Right
why not why not make an effort
to do the right deeds as it is a natural art
i do to gain
and i see to ward off the the inefficiency the everlasting pain
as i move ahead i see the world
and i know it the effort that has made the world
persevernce is the quality
that fills the man of effort with ability
efforts are made for qick succeses
and i know i dont have to have any wrongful excesses
and thus making an effort is right
as it will take the world far and wide...

As Long As
As long as God is Head
There shall be a roof over our heads
Where we shall bake our bread

As long as God is Love
There shall be enough to have
In, around, over and above

As long as God blesses
There shall be excesses
In our threshing floors and winepresses

As long as God is alive
The Heavens are an oozing hive
Dripping the sweetness of our thrive

As long as God is for us
We outnumber any legion in mass
And surpass any etiquette in class
