Altar For Autumn
This intricate landscape reflects a late autumnal view.
Fragile, it collects a basin of pale leaves and scattered flowers
Enshrining a dome for harvest moon’s arrival

Brave Dream
I wonder why and how.
Hope can come and go
spirits appears and disappears
Simultaneously Heart Throbbing

gloomy days are incoming
Being one with a small courage

Slowly but surely
i will be

enshrining my nightmares
with a brave new dreams

to the dark depths...

Ireland 2
It is time to celebrate our nation centenary
Rebels for our nation we weren't born
Enshrining our visions for a united land
Leaving a legacy for each and every citizen
Accept this gift of freedom that was fought
Never forget that in our nation darkest hour
Deep within us let us be proud of being Irish...

The Gathering Dust
Living inside the moment,
Temporal things
Pass me by
On their march to permanence

Attached to everything
But themselves,
They stand as false Icons
To a time once lived–then put away

A trophy case of remembrance…
Enshrining what was lost
In the gathering
Dust

Never rediscovered…
Defining what death means
In the gathering
Dust

A Reluctant Wind
The bums and the heroes
of revolution
asleep
As drawn to the cosmos
a light
travels deep
He asked for no quarter
playing outside
the game
His legion in shadows
he’d never
explain
Each song once it’s sung
his interest
foregone
To blind repetition
he couldn’t
belong
The critics in reference
enshrining
his fame
As the midwestern
prairie wind
—calls out his name

Premium Member Finding God
He turns away from me to say goodbye
Quivering not, I felt a pinch...so damn alone
While the night raven screeches up high
As crystal tears bleed of why, down the bones.

Somehow, a dove climbs on my lap, to show
How the moon rises as new flowers glide;
While Heaven awaits starlight's afterglow
Enshrining this moment where peace abides.

Through pungent fog , ashen white notions about hope grow contrite- amidst gust, tears rake anew where solace begs its due. Hours taunt of curtain call inflicting doubt on nightscape's pall-- Tables empty his footprints leave while seasons pray for reprieve... until he knocks enshrining eve my patience affirmed , ‘ just believe.' ~ 4/06/2019 Lu Loo’s Contest : 10 Lines, 5 Words: Rhyme III

Tanka Duo Cleaved - Unity Realised
I weave rhapsodies   | words dance before you
Enshrining words on paper  |  obelisks of enlightenment
Heartbeats quicken pulse  |  hark metered rhythm
As i map stars with my quill  |  Ursa Major could guide me
To rendezvous with cosmos  | perhaps map a planet ‘B’

A cleaved tank duo can be read as one poem or 2 stand-alone tankas. This was a collaboration between Yasmin Khan, and myself. Yasmin is responsible for the tanka on the left....

My Lord, My Brother
When I walk into an empty church
I hear the whispers grow,
so many smiles, so many tears
so much for me to know--
yet gentle hands touch my face
enshrining me with a gift of peace
a Lord who grants me such release.

When I run up to my Brother,
I feel alive and well again
as He listens through divine love ,
to take away my pain--
that everything explained to me
brings out a sunshine of a smile,
for my Lord is within, all the while.
