Poor Me Miracle Man 6/5/2024 Her name was Elisabeth, but I called her “lizzy” and each time I saw her my head became dizzy. Her beautiful smile, would often beguile, she had no time for me because she was too busy.

I thought to write you
a song today; my mind
still apt -- though my fingers
a bit too creaky...had the piano
tuned, but it did not make me
a Chopin. Decided then on
a heartfelt love poem -- went
into my Shakespeare persona...
then tried Elisabeth and Emily --
Dr. Seuss did not seem to carry
the same sentiment --
What the heck!~ a sincere hug
and kiss has worked for half
a century -- you always know
my intentions.

Love - a Human Emotion

To find true love is such a thrill Your heart pounds hard against your will Glowing eyes and loving smile Make you believe it’s all worthwhile Apart for long you cannot be I need to have you close to me To hug, to hold, or merely kiss Just thoughts of you are simply bliss As time goes by our love unites And no more dark and lonely nights You are my sunshine and my desire There’s nothing else that I require ©Elisabeth Dubois – 2012

Moments of Time

There is an endless sea that engulfs all dreams There is a land of sand that has no time There is a sun that glows and a moon that shines But what does all this, have to do with time? A world and life that reflects beauty A day is all we have, to embrace it fully Moments of time is what we have No past to regret no tomorrow to follow. Today you’ll live a moment in time As today, like any other day… is always today! ©Elisabeth Dubois 2011

Last Summer

Lust summer comes out of life, maybe it is mine; kind of a bad life like
Last summer comes out of life, maybe in the mind; can’t be a life alike

Hmm. My life without an Elisabeth alike, can’t nobody an Elisabeth like
Hmm. Life, mine. No. Only yours. Mine far. So gone. Distance. A yours

Yes. No. Sunrise gets off my life, life is slowly gone. Forget me. Be on
No. Yes. Sunshine gets on in life, but I can not find it. Drop me. Lives
