Trumpelstiltskin Weaves His Selfish Golden Lies

TRUMPELSTILTSKIN
Weaves his selfish golden lies
As he yet again connives
To fool voters into electing him once more! ???????

Premium Member Wake

            After
electing the promise breakers
we'll emerge from our eggs..
as buzzards or songbirds
leaving the shimmer of living
or the bones of death
in our wake.

Evening dreams weave in reds and whites,
Wandering greens and browns,
Slender black hairs fall so gently down,
Jingling sounds of tiny cymbals
Rise as dancing starts
Electing movement as a choice.

Sixteen is a Year an Event
By Franklin Price

Sixteen is a year an event
We're electing a new president
Could be a woman or man
Go to the peaks or the can
In four years we will know where we went

Why My Poetry Sucks

To tired
To get inspired,
That's when it happens
That my poetry sucks atoms
From the atmosphere
From my feeling ionosphere
Electrons electing Trump
Every time he gets up
To the next podium
To pause for silenteum.

Life Today

Even today life, bio genetics means
Marketing of juice
Packed in an of envelope love.
Here democracy, independence means
Oratory of vote demon
Electing the greatest poison
Here sky rneans boundary of land
Trembling of a flag.
Here peace and equality means
Procreation of advertised power.

Small Voice

Depriving myself a chance to transcend,
Mistaken identity became my dead end.
Spirals and circles rule my dizzying affliction,
Perceptibility turned science fiction.
culled by cloying seduction and radiant deception,
Cognizant while electing to alter my rality and skew a convincing perception.

Optimistic Onnie was perpetually expecting
Friends and neighbors showered her with respecting
New viable ideas often occurring and interjecting
Onnie’s willing openness refreshingly reflecting
Conglomeration of talents beyond regular electing
Inspiring fresh dendrites to do a little more inspecting

New Tomorrow

tulips scattered in the echo ridden
hall of my mind

providing green pastures to calm my
soul

delegating which fit I throw first
and electing which level my morals
stand

the standards in which I stand for
will stand forever

and I shall delete all memeories
of my former self

to embrace a new tomorrow

New Tommorrow

Tulips
 scattered in the echo ridden
 hall of my mind
providing green pastures
to calm my soul
Delegating which fit i throw first
 and electing which level
 my morals stand
The standards in which i stand for
 will stand forever
and i shall
 delete all memeories
 of my formerself
 to embrace a new tomorrow

Pixel Wars

Tingling toes
of the megabyte cavalry
callouses scraping
along private roads
Cascading matrices
on the plasma periphery
peasantry bleating
on official commands
Stewing a cauldron
a festering foment
watering nations
from acid-soaked cans
BE SAFE!
say the oracles
so buying a check
but electing the cavalry
leaves the infantry wet

Discretionary Indiscretions Written: by Tom Wright 11/25/00 Pray tell how can this be; That one might opt to blunder, Electing folly and improprieties, Ultimately casting soul asunder. No matter is the heart's intent, The inevitable results, are one and same. If time in unrepented sin is spent, twill be found rowed neatly neath each name.

Premium Member Representatives Resent Us

So many speak of ‘our democracy’
though it seems representatives resent us

They blithely vote for their party’s agenda
then when questioned, they act nonplussed

We keep electing the same ones over and over
the familiar’s more comfortable than the unknown

So much ‘for the people’ in ‘our democracy’
~ who don’t really deserve it, you see

A tiny chimney has been given many a stare by an enormous crowd gathered in St. Peter’s Square. Sequestered cardinals attempt to elect a new pope. White smoke from the flue is what many faithful hope. Four times, the emissions have been black. Hopes for electing a pontiff were turned aback. Will the results be positive on the fifth try? “Fumata Bianca” is the loud popular cry. So now a new pope has been elected. His entry on the balcony is anticipated.

Shooting Star

Last week I saw a shooting star,
A rare and wondrous sight.
Inside our car, my spouse and I
Reacted with delight.

I made a wish, remembering
Instructions I'd once heard.
My husband missed his chance,
Believing such a thing absurd.

My wish was for a future time
But since Election Day,
I wonder if I could have helped
Turn things a different way.

Perhaps if I had wished for help
Electing You-Know-Who,
The outcome of the race just might
Have switched from red to blue.
