Tell Me Why-

Tell Me Why…

Ecosystems live.
Biodiversity thrives.
Where…man is least found.

Premium Member Fling Words

You fling words
with the same concern
as skimming stones
offhandedly
and
unenlightened
not once
recognizing
the escalating consequences
upon the delicate ecosystems
of the human psyche

You don’t just love a person,
you love who you are with them,
the you, you see reflected in their eyes
you love the vision of your life with them.

When it’s gone, you have to mourn it all
the whole ecosystem of connectedness.
Old realities can look shabby in comparison.

Decimated Ocean

Waves crash
Your wrapper crumples
Thrown into the crazy waters
Killing the creatures in the coral
Little by little
Commonly found everywhere
Floating
Caution in the water
With chemicals creeping
Coastline to coastline
Laced with pollution
Fish collide with waste
Communities and ecosystems
Decimated

Sun and Light

Sun
resplendent, lustrous
invigorating, radiating, warming
humans, habitats, ecosystems, vegetations
captivating, energising, enlightening
scintillant, fluorescent

Turquoise

Turquoise, neither blue nor green but in between,
subtle but bright,
relaxing with might,
dashing with personality
a bottom feeder with height,
gives nonchalant habitats life
and ecosystems thrive.
It gives intimidation a fright,
exhilaration a surprise.
It's free in the sea
serene in a rainbow's scheme.
It's in limited supply
so the demand should be high.
But not so maybe with time.

Manatee

Machiavellian schemes besmirch a murky mangrove calm
A propeller breaks the tranquil glass over an underwater farm
Neath the broken still, a peaceful giant stirs with alarm
and no consolation is found as noise churns it's quiet charm

The serene spots need to be augmented for they are our balm
Ecosystems need protection from greedy developers’ harm
Empyrean Earth for all, is in our active palms, giving alms…

The Anchor and Contaminator

You're the anchor of my mental health
contaminating the sea I'm in

a place where ecosystems fail
there is no life, my skin's rusting

you don't believe my boat can sail
instead a rust as rot seeps in

for now untraveled and still new
a prisoner to shallow thinking

and there is no changing you
wanting me stuck slowly sinking

I'm will explore the oceans blue
away from you, your lies and drinking

I see you a contaminator
goodbye mother, I'll see you later

Humanity's Innuendo

Ecosystems are being strained
We stand alone as the culprit
Every night when I have prayed
I wake up and see they've botched it

In less than a year from now
It will reach the Atlantic
Dolphins, crabs and the sea foul
Will die before we panic

These black tides will devour
Killing pristine mating ground
Poison our shores every hour
Shutting our blue oceans down

Finger pointing will continue
Cleanups impossible, they say
Humanity's innuendo
Is riding on the tides today
